I heard the theme during the comic con trailer that debuted last summer. It's the same theme from the first movie but imagine mass horns "DON-DON-DON-DOOOOOOOON then it goes one pitch higher repeating the same beats! It sounds freaking beautiful in the trailer! Someone upload it or I will! lol

I still think the soundtrack sounds to heroic for Spider-man. Too sure of it's self.

Part of the Spider-man myth of Peter's struggling self doubt. The thing that makes him a hero is that he chooses to over come his struggles.

To me Danny Elfman's music is the best movie version but I would like something like Spider-man The New Animated Series intro music in a movie version.

Terrible show but the music was perfect in my opinion.

You can hear Zimmer's theme at the 1:45 mark!

@TheBlackNerd

I don't think that the music used in the Comic-Con trailer was Zimmer's. This Youtube video was actually edited by him though, and it's hinted that the music used in the first official trailer it's his. I love how he highlighted the beginning of the trailer, where Spidey is falling and there's a crescendo of drums going with the score. Watch the trailer again and listen to the track in the official website, those are our very first glimpses of Zimmer's Spidey music score it seems.

I do get it. I don't really think brief comments should bother you or others so much, this is a community based fan website, as long as it's decently written and structured, I don't understand why shouldn't I give my opinion. You are free to use the comments section to disagree with me all you want.

You are writing a news story. You are informing us, exposing us to new information, photos/videos etc. it's not a space for your thoughts. That's what the [frick]ing Editotial section is for. Imagine if you were watching a news broadcast, and at the end of the report, the reporter would state whether or not they supported whatever was going on. It doesn't happen! News is unbiased so that that people can make their own judgments on the subject. It's not for you to tell them your feelings.

There's really very little commentary in this article to be honest. Just a little snippet at the end saying that he's excited to hear the score and see the movie. Maybe to appease everyone else on the site just write like Editorial Remarks or something like that.

People inject sarcasm and opinions in their articles all the time, this article is fine. Yesterday's article had a lot of commentary though.

Hmm. Why so uptight? I see ComicBookMovie.com more like a community blog fansite that post news rather than the other way around. I'm not from CNN, and even news reports usually do have brief comments on entertainment related news from time to time. Chill out dude, it's not like I'm the only one here on the website that comments on the news they post, nailbiter among others do this all the time.

And "the others do it" is a bad excuse. I know AnthonyStark often expresses his opinion in the article but it looks bad. It looks unprofessional (I know cbm isn't a professional site but it doesn't hurt to try and be the best site it can possibly be). Yesterday you were critisizing WB in a Spider-Man article. There was no reason to do that.

@Zuari

I don't know man, I think that the music heard in the SDCC trailer was hinted at being Zimmer's. I mean it's not that hard for anyone to use horns to make an instrumental but I mean it's quite out of the norm to use that theme all of a sudden especially when Zimmer was announced as working on the project. But yeah you could be very right about that bro. Perhaps both themes are tied together somehow. Or possibly the theme heard in the SDCC will be added to the films soundtrack.

Hans Zimmer is a a genius but he is such a prick. He's not doing the next MOS film, but he's going to do the next Spiderman film, yeah, okay...

(This man is clearly in it for the money)

DaVinci31 - 1/19/2014, 10:20 PM
Don't really care Zimmer, just get your a** back over there to WB/DC and begin making the new Batman theme.

This time served with a full course of "B:TAS" undertones; you know, with some type of gothic-esque/cathedral type of vibe.

Also, some "Smashing Pumpkins" seasoning wouldn't hurt at all.

But hey, I'm no music composer, what do I know.

He said in some interview back a month or so ago that there wasn't interest in him doing the next film. (can't remember if it was him or WB that wasn't interested, but it came across fairly negative)

See, I don't even know what is going on anymore because Snyder (while on that Yahoo Online Interview) said that he was hoping that they would get him if he could.

And in this interview (which is great btw) Zimmer praises the work he was able to accomplish on the soundtrack due to Snyder's visionary guidance.

Anywho, I hope they get him back on board.

@StarkAnthony last one and I'm out of here, but I have to agree with you on that one. Seeing the Spider-man movie for the first time when I was younger and hearing those tribal drums and slowly rising orchestra playing during the opening theme, was just magical and just felt more like Spider-man.
