Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a focused, action-packed adventure set in two connected and evolving timelines, from the contemporary times of the Amazing Spider-Man to the corrupted future world of Spider-Man 2099, against the backdrop of a rich, tightly crafted narrative by acclaimed Marvel veteran Peter David (co-creator of the comic book series Spider-Man 2099). The game features all-new "cause-and-effect" gameplay, where players will see how the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of their actions as one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Edge of Time is slated for release this fall.

@marvel72 I haven't played shattered dimensions too mostly because of the bad reviews which it received and the unimpressive game-play videos

@DAHAMMA Yeah me too, because of its similarities to shattered dimensions I'm a little skeptical. But I have an open mind and the storyline seems interesting so I'm looking forward to playing it.

I loved SD and I will love this one as well. Love the look its going for, making two versions give them a chance to bring more to each character's move sets which I hope are diverse. Bring it on

@Freshkicks1212 Shattered Dimensions was awesome and by far the best Spiderman games since Spiderman 2. And those who want a sandbox Spiderman game, good luck. Activison and Beenox said that ship has sailed. But I am really concerned about how does Peter Parker death in his universe effect 2099 when they are from different universes. Cant wait to see how thats explained.

It looks exactly like shattered dimensions, and I hated that game. Spider-Man games are all about the free-roam...and I seem to see NO free-roam in this one. WTF?! Web of Shadows was awesome, they should do more similar to that.

Looks awesome. The trailer I saw for Shattered Dimensions didn't impress me so I didn't buy it but maybe I should rent? I haven't played a great Spidey game since Spider-Man 2 (that game was perfect! Loved Mysterio). Who are the villains in SD?

This looks great and the webbing design on the "amazing" costume is pretty sweet!

@Ryden Web of Shadows was a good game but became very repetitive after a couple of hours. Not to mention that Peter Parker/ Spiderman voice actor was annoying as hell.

I loved Shattered Dimensions, but agree with Ryden that this game looks way too similar. I think we need something a little different, maybe not different futures/alternate realities but simply the present day, 616 amazing spider-man

screenshoots looks great the game looks kool but im a bit of a loss thou my friend told me taht sm sd was good and the game did win awards i never played it because there's no demo 4 it yet but if this is like a contiunation opf shatted dimmersions then i won't get it

I absolutely hated Dimensions....I hope this is better...Would love to see the same quality as Batman Arkham Asylum. I am and have been a huge Spiderman fan for over 30years and still waiting for a great Spidey game!!!!!!!!!

graphics look good, but why are they doing all these gimmicky Spidey games? Shattered Dimensions? Edge of time? Why does spidey need all these time/universe hopping powers? We need more games like Ultimate Spiderman.

Spiderman games need to stop. Do some other characters for a change, and I mean actually GOOD marvel games. *sigh* well aleast we can look forward to the sequel of one of best made comic book video game adaptations of all time: Arkham City. ;P

Captain America game on the other hand looks outstanding.

I think a first person X-Men Universe game would be cool. Sort of free roam like the Fallout video games. You create your own mutant and make your own decisions that can lead to becoming an x-men, joining the brotherhood or maybe even create your own group in which you can recruit your own set of followers. Not to mention tons of quest and random stuff you can be apart of in that world. Like choose to wage war on the humans, save them, or something in between. X-Men Universe, has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Anyway, this game looks cool!
