When Jared Leto's Joker was first revealed to the world, there was a significant amount of backlash from fans. Whether it was
that "Damaged" tattoo, his unique smile, or the many pieces of body art which covered the Clown Prince of Crime, it quickly became apparent that
Suicide Squad was delivering a vastly different take on the iconic DC Comics villain.
It wasn't the comic accurate version fans were hoping for, and Leto's performance proved to be divisive.
Now,
Suicide Squad director David Ayer has shared an early makeup test for this version of The Joker and, as you can see, he could have looked quite a bit different. His eyebrows are tattooed on and made up with the words "Haha" over and over again, while his forehead is clear and his teeth look completely different (they're black grills rather than shiny ones).
It's certainly different, but do you guys think it's better or worse than what ended up in
Suicide Squad?

Cameron Monaghan - Gotham
Gotham has been butchering some of Batman's greatest villains for years now so it's no great surprise that our first look at the show's second Joker (the first didn't really count as the show was just trolling us) was somewhat underwhelming. While the comic book influences are definitely appreciated, it's just a normal dude in a hat with pale skin. There's nothing to get excited about and he ended up sucking.
It's no great surprise then that this version of the Clown Prince of Crime ended up being something of a disappointment because most of what Fox has hyped up in Gotham has gone the exact same way.
