While it's rare we get any big news out of the CCXP event in Brazil, there was still a huge amount of disappointment online last night. At the start of what ended up being a six-hour WarnerMedia panel, a sizzle reel appeared to tease new trailers for The Suicide Squad and Godzilla vs. Kong.
Unfortunately, those were nowhere to be seen.
As a result, fans waited over five hours for pretty much nothing, but we do have some new concept art and stills from James Gunn's highly anticipated DC Comics reboot/sequel.
Talking during a panel, he shared an update on The Suicide Squad, saying progress on the movie is "going really well." He added: "The movie is completely done in terms of the cut of the film. It's really just working with the visual effects that are left, and the music and the sound. So, we're close."
We can only hope that means a trailer will be ready in time for Wonder Woman 1984 release this December.
Below, you'll see new looks at Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Javelin (Flula Borg), Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior), and Peacemaker (John Cena). The latter is about to start production on his own TV series, though we don't currently know whether that will serve as a prequel or sequel to The Suicide Squad.
