Henry Cavill is probably doing his utmost to forget about Justice League and moustache-gate and that will start with a lead role in Mission: Impossible - Fallout this summer. However, the actor remains keen on reprising the role of Superman in the DC Films Universe and he's made it clear in yet another new interview that he hopes to make a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel in the not too distant future.
"I’m having a lot of conversations, behind-the-scenes, with certain people and we will hopefully be having conversations with other people who are also behind-the-scenes to make things start happening," Cavill says below. "It is very much in my desire to do a Man of Steel 2, a direct sequel to Man of Steel, and there is a whole bunch of Superman story that I want to tell. There is a whole style of Superman’s character that I’m very keen to tell and I’m looking forward to the opportunity."
Collider goes on to note that they've been hearing some rumours about Cavill's contact - presumably that he's signed an extension of some sort - and make a point of mentioning his interesting reaction to being asked about that.
