JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Henry Cavill Gets Fans Talking As He Poses With SUPERMAN In New Social Media Post

While the signs appear to be pointing to Henry Cavill being done with the DC Extended Universe, a social media post from the actor makes it clear that he's not going to just forget his stint as the hero.

Henry Cavill reportedly turned down the opportunity to make a cameo appearance in Shazam! and the British actor's relationship with Warner Bros. fell apart from there.

Now, it seems as if his time as Superman as is at an end and with the studio focusing on a Supergirl movie, the Man of Steel has quite clearly been put on the backburner. However, Cavill got fans talking yesterday when he shared a photo from Budapest's Flex Gym in which he poses alongside a statue of the iconic DC Comics superhero.

This was clearly just a cool photo opportunity and Cavill is in Budapest to shoot Netflix's The Witcher (in which he'll play Geralt).

The interesting thing here, though, is just how
fit Cavill is looking and he's definitely in Superman shape! Unfortunately, that doesn't mean he'll play the character again and it's unlikely that he's teasing anything with this photo unless Shazam! delivers a surprise none of us are expecting.

What do you guys think? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section below.

@emeraldtaurus - You and me both. He was born to play Superman, looks the part, loves the character and just needs the right script and director.

@emeraldtaurus - I feel the same way about Brandon Routh. If he didn't have such a crappy script and there was a better director He would have been a great Superman. When I come across Superman Returns I can't6 help thinking Routh was playing Christopher Reeves playing Kent/Superman. He was never given the chance to make the role his own much like Cavill.

@SWelch - Agree somewhat, I really loved Routh as supes and hoped/prayed he would stay on.....even Zach Snyder tried like crazy to find some way to keep him on...but it just wasn't possible. A reboots a reboot! That being said ....I think Cavill is a stronger actor and his take on Superman is quite unique....rather than a Chris Reeves rip-off which is what all the other actors have pretty much done.

@emeraldtaurus - doubt it. after affleck, snyder, & wb saw bvs they knew it sucked. snyder prob knew this and took supermans legacy down with him...damn prick

@emeraldtaurus @RolandD @mastakilla39 - WB can still make a new Superman movie with Cavill that mostly ignores what happened on MoS, BvS and JL without contradicting it, so people can choose if it's a soft reboot or not, same thing we have seen with Wonder Woman or Aquaman, both with plenty of success.

@KoolerThanJesus - That would be kool.

@KoolerThanJesus - or they could just do a Superman movie with Cavill that's simply not a sequel. Like what they've planned with James Gunn and SS2.

@Doomsday8888 - that's kinda crazy. Is Witcher going to have a better physique than the graddaddy of all superheroes?

Frick cavill...i dont like the geezer. Comes off as smarmy and to keep teasing/not teasing the superman thing for hype and instagram likes comes off as needy and douchey. I liked MOS and what he's done with supes (barr JL). That's why we want him back - but he's trying to come off as bigger than the studio, like hes the one with the power. Curb your ego - nourish your soul.
