Donatello is dead! He was taken out in brutal fashion in the pages of today's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #44, and fan-favourite villains Bebop and Rocksteady were the ones responsible for the beloved character's murder as you can see below. The series is written by Tom Waltz and TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, and IGN has more details on the moments leading up to this if you're curious to learn more. Apparently, "Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo were trying to stop Krang from terraforming the planet using the alien "Technodrome," leaving Donatello running command from their home base. Shredder had ordered Bebop and Rocksteady to kill Donatello if anything went wrong, and sure enough, something did. Donatello tried to fight them off, even getting some help from Metalhead (being controlled by scientist Harold Lillia), but the duo was too much. The killing blow came when Rocksteady smashed his shell with a sledgehammer." Though there's every chance he might one day return, does the death of Donatello upset you?

You guys do realize, this isn't DC or Marvel and the writers for the TMNT is the co-creator of the Turtles?

Donnie was my least favorite turtle but to see one of the turtles dead does hit me in the childhood. He will "probably?" be back but who knows if he is gone then it really is sad.

With the brutal way Donnie was killed off I would probably keep him away from these comics for a while. Not saying you should shelter him from death because death is a natural occurrence and to hide it from kids is stupid. But something that brutal is a little much for a kid of that age.

While Hellboy has been dead for 4 years.. He's still have had comics.

The main series is Hellboy In Hell in which Hellboy is now in Hell like the title suggests.



Also there was a graphic novel going back to when Hellboy was a kid called The Midnight Circus.



Currently, Hellboy has a new miniseries that goes back to Hellboy's first mission ever with the BRPD called Hellboy and the BPRD 1952

Okay so it has just changed to following Hellboy through hell. Not like it stayed on Earth following Hellboy side characters for 4 years all the while still calling it Hellboy that is totally fine. Also doing prequel comics and mini series is also fine.
