Glimpse Of Tom Hiddleston's Screen Test To Be THOR
Before Tom Hiddleston signed on with Marvel Studios to be Loki in Kenneth Branagh's Thor, he auditioned for the role of the God of Thunder, which eventually went to Chris Hemsworth. Come see a bare-chested Tom sporting long-blonde locks.
When Marvel Studios releases Thor: The Dark World on 3D Combo Pack, Single-Disc Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand February 25th, one of the bonus features will include Tom Hiddleston's Thor screen test. As you can see from the images in this article, its not the Loki screen test, but in fact his audition for the God of Thunder. Of course in the end director Kenneth Branagh chose Aussie actor, Chris Hemsworth. Besides Tom, Hemsworth had stiff competition from Charlie "Pacific Rim" Hunnam, Alexander "True Blood" Skarsgård, Joel "RoboCop" Kinnaman and even his little brother, Liam "Hunger Games" Hemsworth.
Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
