Marvel Artist Andy Park Unveils Some VERY Different Character Designs For THOR: RAGNAROK's Valkyrie
Before casting Tessa Thompson in the role, it looks like Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has a very different vision for Valkyrie's appearance. Check out some awesome concept designs from Andy Park.
We've already seen some of Andy Park's alternate designs for Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, but the artist has now shared some more early concept ideas for the character, and it turns out she could have wound up looking very different than any comic book incarnation we've seen in the past.

Park reveals that director Taika Waititi had originally envisioned the Asagardian warrior wearing a mask and hood, with spiked mace gauntlets covering her hands. Not too surprisingly, his plans changed when Tessa Thompson was cast in the role.
