THE BOYS Actor Jack Quaid Warns Fans That They Aren't Ready For Season Two

The Boys took many by surprise this year, coming out of nowhere to claim record numbers for Amazon Prime. With another Season on the way for 2020, Hughie actor Jack Quaid insists that fans aren't ready.

It's been an incredible year for film, and television is doing it's best to keep up. Breaking new ground with Crisis on Infinite Earths, CW is treating fans this holiday. The Mandalorian has taken Disney+ by storm, and shows like Watchmen and The Boys are stepping up.

Somehow, season two of Eric Kripke's Amazon Prime series is expected to take things to new heights, if Hughie actor Jack Quaid is to be believed. Check out what he had to say in an interview with Comic Book below.

"Oh man, no one is ready for Season 2, It's just absolutely bonkers. I'll just put it this way, the scale is a lot bigger. I think we've topped season one, in terms of insane moments that make you say 'What the hell?' I've done things this season that are definite firsts for me in my career, and I probably won't do them again since. Definitely a moment... I can't give it away, but when you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about."

It will be interesting for fans to look at the upcoming trailers and see if there is any glimpse of this moment.

"And I think we've gotten way deeper with every single character on the show. It's bigger, but it's a lot deeper with everyone. And I think that that's what's important about Season 2 is not that you just go bigger and have more fights - which we totally have - but that you really delve into the characters and understand what makes them tick. And I know from Hughie's perspective, we get into a lot of that. So yeah. I'm just really excited for people to see season two. I think it's even better than season one, in my opinion."

The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and their formidable Vought backing.

Elisabeth Shue as Madelyn Stillwell
Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk

Are we on board for the boys to be taking an adapted version of the super serum? As in the comics?? I for one am...but i understand it when people have said that its about normal humans taking on these superheros - rather suped up people verses suped up people.
Either way im happy - really enjoyed the first season...so bring it #diabolical

Was anyone else disappointed in this show? I just felt like they didn’t come close to the insanity of the comics and the characters were way more grey than the black and white version in the comics which really made you pick sides and felt surprised by the twist at the end.
