Mr Chad Coleman, are you biting off more than you can chew? Recently Chad Coleman said he would love to play Luke Cage in a future Avengers film, well the star of AMC's The Walking Dead strikes again! This time saying that a film adaption of the popular TV show is not too far down the road. In a way this does make a lot of sense, look at TV shows like 21 Jump Street or The X-Files. Popular TV shows + Movie + Money = Even more money. Now this may be a case of an actor playing producer but this is something worth talking about. How would you feel about a Walking Dead film? Are you a fan of the show? Comment below and let me know!

The Walking Dead is an American horror television drama series developed by Frank Darabont. It is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The series stars Andrew Lincoln as sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes, who awakens from a coma to find a post-apocalyptic world dominated by flesh-eating "walkers", resembling zombies. He sets out to find his family and encounters many other survivors along the way. The title of the series refers to the survivors, and not the zombies.

The characters are already set up so that's a good thing, though I don't see the need for a movie.

First of all there is No way Kirkland would allow it to be pg13, the show is way to popular for that! Plus who says it would be a stand alone movie, if they were smart they would finish a new season with a cliff hanger or some kind of unfinished business then tie in the story with walking dead movie and allow that movie end with something that needs to be finished with the next season!! There you go a horror movie that never ends

I would love a walking dead movie. I think the show is going to run for a few more seasons and I think when it is coming to a close they should put an end to Rick and Carls story on the big screen.

Have the final season end on a cliffhanger and pick it up in the movie and put a fitting end to the their journey.

I can see a "Rise of the Governor" movie adaptation. Other than that, I don't see it happening.

i think you are all forgetting one huge one, Firefly. That show ran for 3 seasons and then eventually became a movie later on, Serenity. It had established characters just like Walking Dead does and Serenity was a great movie. If a Walking Dead movie is done right then I'd gladly watch it. I do like the thought of it being a show more so than a film. It has so much potential to continue to carry on.

The walking dead tv series is ruined.
the entire 3rd season was a joke, a waste of [frick]ing time.

Get into the comics. You cannot compare one to the other any more.

On the one hand, making TWD a movie would be a horrible idea for many of the reasons already listed. The entire show's setup is a long grueling life. We get to know the characters intimately over hours and hours of time... A 2 episode "movie" for the big screen? What story would you tell that couldn't be told better in the TV show format?

...on the other hand, a *spin-off* movie - something that introduces a new set of characters somewhere else in the world - something that *expands* TWD universe and possibly has some loose tie-ins with the television series. That would make sense. The show could also adopt the characters and events of a film into the fold down the line merging the story arcs that represent a grander narrative. After all, don't most of you sit around and wonder - "What's going on in THE REST OF THE WORLD RIGHT NOW? What's the bigger picture?" while you're watching TWD?

@Azrael725 Get your facts straight . . . Firefly did not
run for 3 seasons. If you wanted to see all the episodes
of the first season you had to buy the DVD because it was
cancelled leaving a few episodes unaired. Makes one wonder
how many of your other posts are full of hot air because
you are too lazy to look it up at IMDB, or at least google
it.

If the writing for the movie's as bad as the show, it may make a billion dollars. That's the film industry for you.

@FredLL1950 Apologies. Yes I do know that Firefly only ran for ONE season (typo) as i just recently watched them with my buddy on Netflix, along with Serenity. I didn't realize that a typo would cause you to rage and wanna punch your monitor. Take a chill pill dude.

Lets make a movie about The Walking Dead. Like how it started. You can have some of the stars from the show come in and do a cameo, but thats all that you would see of them. Lets say one of the group members found a journal of some stranger's journey, how it started, and possible the end of her/his journey that could be a happy or most traggic ending.
