While I haven't got to see season 4 (I'll be catching up with it on Netflix), I have loved the show ever since I stumbled upon AMC's Walking Dead marathon when there was nothing else to watch, then I read books 1-7, played Telltale's amazing video game series, and even dabbled a bit in that terrible video game published by Activision. There is something gratifyingly true of the series as a whole, rather it's the games, the show or the comics, and it's that the zombies are not the TRUE enemies. Anyway, Season 5 of AMC's hit show will be rearing its ugly head soon, and while the still below is merely some of what we've already seen, it's always cool to see Lincoln get his killing face on as hardcore zombie killer and fearless leader Rick Grimes.
In the fourth season, we see Rick and the group of survivors fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison only to have it short-lived as the group loses everything, their home, family, and friends to the threat of the walkers, outside threats and the hidden dangers brewing inside the fences. The group of survivors are broken apart and sent on divergent paths, unsure of everyone else's fate as they are exposed to new dangers, new enemies, and heartbreaking choices. They will have their faith thoroughly tested - a faith that breaks some of them and redeems others.
Starring Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Stephen Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Danai Gurira, and Chad Coleman, The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 12th.
