THE WALKING DEAD Season 7, Episode 7 Promo And Sneak Peek; "Sing Me A Song"

Tonight's episode of The Walking Dead introduced us to yet another community, but things look set to take a sinister turn next week when the spotlight is put on the home of Negan and the Saviors. The synopsis for "Sing Me A Song" doesn't reveal much, but promises: "A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies." Pretty intriguing, right?

Fans of the comic books will know that the title is a reference to what happens after Carl sneaks into the Sanctuary and ends up being given a tour by Negan. The villain forces the youngster to remove his bandages and sing him a song, though it is of course possible that the captive Daryl - or perhaps even Jesus - will end up taking his place in this episode. For now, we'll just going to have to wait and see.

@Gamerbot64 - that Michonne clip resembles the exact boooring pace that whole show is "running" on since the last season. If they would cut half of the episodes that ridiculous whistling and inlineskating would be done for at last.

I am a huge fan of the Walking Dead been watching it since day one. With that being said they need to pick it the hell up. To me its got to main problem.

1) They need to stop focusing on one group at a time, They need to do like, Game of Thrones and give 10 or 15 minutes to each story an episode. That way it keeps the story moving and we don't get boring episodes like last week and tonight.

2) Scott Gimple needs to tighten the story up. How many times are we going to ask the question of to kill or not to kill. Didn't we have a full season last year of Morgan and Carole having the same conversation for weeks.

TWD needs to stop dividing the season to one episode per person. This ruins the pacing of each season and only creates some of the worst filler episodes like tonight. Tara is the most useless character aside from the chick who keeps track of everything in Alexandria. There was no point in tonight's episode, and what's funny is that Gimple knows it too.

@Kr08 - I feel like Gimple thinks he's a better writer then he really is. He just keeps going over the same old stuff, over and over.

It wasn't the story I didn't like, just how it was put together... like on a technical level, it was sloppy. I thought the meditations on what counts as good/evil and the Tara's growing realization that Rick is not really much better than Negan from a certain perspective was all really well done, but what was with her sprinting off like that? I assume she copped that they were planning to kill her but it wasn't made clear enough to the viewer.. and were they doing that on their own, or did their leader order it?

@RorMachine - I agree with you on it being sloppy on a technical level...the choreography on the fight she had with the girl with the gun was really bad and with the walkers on the bridge when she fell off, she had 3 walkers grabbing her with no attempt at biting her she wasn't even fighting them off lol

Why do I keep watching this show? I spent most of the episode fast forwarding because it was so boring and irrelevant to the main story. I just need to bite the bullet and remove this show from my DVR.

This season has been sluggish since the opener.Didn't mind tonight's episode, enjoyed that even with all the crap that went down on her trip and not knowing what happened back home, she still kept true to who she was...finding some glimmer of hope in all that chaos. Hopefully the second half will be an improvement.

The last great episode imo was the one where the group eliminated the terminus group in the church. Everything since then has been mediocre with a few good ones here and there. The story either drags, poorly executed, or just boring like tonight's. Don't want to rant but the story itself is just stupid. If Rick and group don't like what's going on...move to another state or different part of the state. It's funny because they could go anywhere anytime before and never run into negan's group...so what's keeping them there?

@realOdinson - Do you remember the last time they tried to travel? What happened?

@rkshuttleworth - they slept in a barn and we're hit by a big storm? And? Settlers roamed the country long before the use of automobiles.

@leethario - Thank you! I've really tried with this show because I love the comic, but this is getting ridiculous. The comic kept things fresh and interesting, but this show has become so repetitive it's hard not to tune out. I'm so sick of pointless episodes like these spent with characters we don't care about and don't effect the plot at all.

On the one hand, I get it. i've watched these as they come out since the start, and have often felt it is too slow in certain stretches. Howver my little cousin got into it recently and I binged it with her, and found that season 3-6 are very good binged. It's just crap when they come out one at a time. I've been loving this season, Negan has livened things up a lot. But this episode was crap. 16 minutes in, and Tara has had water left for her by a stranger, and wandered into a new camp. It does not take 16 minutes to do that. NOTHING happened for half the ep. But I've liked the rest of this season and haven't found it too slow. I don't get the criticism this show gets, its largely very good. And the characters now are much better than the ones from the first few seasons, who were mostly annoying. Shane, Lori, Dale, T-Dog, Andrea. Compare them with badass rick, michonne, Beth And Maggie, negan, eugene, abraham, etc.

Negan's lean back, lean back, lean back, acting has replaced Shane's head rub. He does it everytime he wants to say something 'charismatic'. Its terrible

i always enjoy my time with Tara, but the writing and the directing, ESPECIALLY, was subpar.

The ONLY thing that I pick at, and I'm so glad, looking at these comments, I'm not alone, is Negan's hip-stretch-acting. I do love the show and still love this season
