Deadline report that comic book writer (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Runaways) Brian K. Vaughan has been hired to adapt the highly anticipated Showtime adaptation of Stephen King's 2009 novel, Under the Dome. Steven Spielberg and Stacey Snider hold the rights, while the series will be executive produced by King and DreamWorks TV’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Vaughan's last major TV project was Lost.

read this over the summer, great book. really excited to see it adapted for TV. John Goodman would make an awesome Jim Renney.
