According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has now picked up Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas' adaptation of DC/Vertigo series iZombie to pilot. According to the official description, it's a "supernatural crime procedural that centers on a medical student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the Coroner's Office in order to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat so that she can maintain her humanity. However, with every brain she eats, she inherits the corpse's memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head." Thomas and Veronica Mars' Diane Ruggiero is set to pen the script and will also executive produce.

Also going to pilot is Supernatural: Tribes, a spin-off which "will explore the clashing hunter and monster cultures of Chicago." This series comes from Supernatural writer Andrew Dabb, who will executive produce alongside Eric Kripke, Robert Singer, showrunner Jeremy Carver and McG. Singer will direct the Warner Bros. Television entry. Predictably, The Flasg has also been given the green light for a pilot episode. Nothing much was revealed in the logline, but it does say that "Grant Gustin stars as scientist Barry Allen and is given the power of super-speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive." Arrow's Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and DC's Geoff Johns will pen the script and executive produce alongside David Nutter, who will direct the pilot.

@ALmight- I'm sure Tribes and Flash will be picked up because of their parent shows. Not sure about iZombie though.

They already started casting for the pilot.
So it's hardly news that a pilot has been greenlit.

But either way, iZombie sounds pretty cool, very different for CW.I like it.
Supernatural: Tribes is a stupid title.

The CW is bringing it lately. They're definitely shaping up to be actually a decent network.

- Tomorrow People is cool, it's special effects are very nice and it has some good story elements sometimes.
- Reing is my absolute guilty pleasure, love LOVE love this show.
- Arrow, really behind on Arrow, but it has been bad-ass from what I've watched.
- Originals is also so freaking good.

Grant Gustin was awesome in arrow so I'm pretty sure the rest of the cast will be good too. All I need to be fully on board with the Flash show is to see how the costume and cgi for his powers look and then I'm in.

iZombie sounds like a slightly horror tinged version of Tru Calling.
I'm really excited for it!

Hopefully Flash pays as much respect to the comics as Arrow does.

iZombie won't be easy to pull off. I mean, a protagonist that eats brains? But, at the same time the concept is so engrossing that the potential is amazing with the right execution. That's one I'm looking forward to catching, and, they all sound pretty good so far.

When you mention Tribe, i think of this:

I wouldn't mind seeing this on TV or on film, especially this:

Eric Kripke was supposed to be working on a Deadman series would have rather seen that then Supernatural: Tribe and iZombie.

I also wish they would revive the idea for a Raven series and make it with all the comic book goodness that Arrow has.
