Like it or not, it's become apparent in recent years that the Marvel Television shows aren't considered "canon" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (look no further than the recently released "Story of Marvel Studios" for proof). It is, however, looking like Marvel Studios will continue plucking some characters, actors, and ideas from those projects.
The Darkhold was rebooted for WandaVision, while it's looking like Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will be part of Spider-Man: No Way Home. There have been big rumours about Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, too, with the hope being that he will make a surprise appearance in Hawkeye based on what some online scoopers have claimed.
During a recent interview with Jake's Takes, the Daredevil alum declined to comment on those reports, but did once again express interest in having his villain cross paths with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. "It would definitely have to be Spider-Man one day, I’m hoping," D'Onofrio said. "We’ll see if they ask me to do it. Kingpin lived in a world of Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man, so that would be the one."
The Kingpin was a Spider-Man villain before becoming one of Daredevil's foes, so this clash would make sense. We have only weeks to go before we learn whether those Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home rumours are correct, and if so, it could be a major game-changer for the MCU.
