DAREDEVIL Star Vincent D'Onofrio Is Still Hoping His Kingpin Of Crime Will Battle MCU's Spider-Man

While rumours continue to persist about what the future holds in store for Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, the Daredevil alum is still hoping to cross paths with Tom Holland's Spider-Man...

Like it or not, it's become apparent in recent years that the Marvel Television shows aren't considered "canon" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (look no further than the recently released "Story of Marvel Studios" for proof). It is, however, looking like Marvel Studios will continue plucking some characters, actors, and ideas from those projects.

The Darkhold was rebooted for WandaVision, while it's looking like Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will be part of Spider-Man: No Way Home. There have been big rumours about Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, too, with the hope being that he will make a surprise appearance in Hawkeye based on what some online scoopers have claimed.

During a recent interview with Jake's Takes, the Daredevil alum declined to comment on those reports, but did once again express interest in having his villain cross paths with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. "It would definitely have to be Spider-Man one day, I’m hoping," D'Onofrio said. "We’ll see if they ask me to do it. Kingpin lived in a world of Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man, so that would be the one."

The Kingpin was a Spider-Man villain before becoming one of Daredevil's foes, so this clash would make sense. We have only weeks to go before we learn whether those Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home rumours are correct, and if so, it could be a major game-changer for the MCU.

What would you like to see from D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk in this shared world? Check out what Jon Bernthal had to tell us about potentially joining the MCU as Frank Castle/The Punisher below:

If Spider-Man Freshman Year does well, I hope we'll get a show for his freshmen year in college as well. And thats where Kingpin and Daredevil should come in

They should put Vincent in charge of preventing leaks. Anybody leaks something, he puts them in a car.

I miss that period, when Spidey fought the Maggia, Hobgoblin and Kingpin.

Wonder what Kingpin would look like in a fat suit like Baron Harkonnen in Dune…

@Gmoney84 - I wonder what he’d look like in an Elton John suit picking up his glasses (they’re off screen)

This would be perfect for the next spidey movie... I’m assuming (or I guess, I HOPE) they’ll have him go back to basics for the next one and face some street level threats after all this multiverse shenanigans

As decent as they were, I'd love for KF to keep these characters around for a good ten year chunk and I'm not sure how I feel about a 50ish yr old DD or a 70 yr old Kingpin.

One of the basic tenets of life is there is always someone younger and better for your job, especially when Father Time comes calling.
