There have been rumblings of a Jessica Jones revival set in the MCU for a while now, and a change made to the show's title on Disney+ has only further fueled speculation about the heroic P.I.'s future...

The first season of Jessica Jones was excellent, and while the series lost its way courtesy of some baffling creative decisions in its second and third seasons, fans remain keen to see more of Krysten Ritter's tough-as-nails P.I.

There have been rumours about the actor reprising the role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and while the character would probably have to be toned down a little for the MCU, there's a lot she could bring to the table. Plus, if Marvel Studios embraces the comic books, Jessica could open the door to exploring a whole new side of this shared world.

Speculation is running rampant that something is planned on this Fourth of July because of a significant change made to Jessica Jones on Disney+.

That streaming service is the show's new home following its departure from Netflix, and Marvel Studios has switched out its title card to read A.K.A. Jessica Jones instead of, simply, Jessica Jones. There has to be a reason for this, and it's noteworthy that this was the original name of the series before it shifted from ABC to being one of the four Marvel shows developed for Netflix.

It's already been revealed that a Daredevil revival is coming to Disney+, so there's no reason to suspect A.K.A Jessica Jones couldn't be next. An appearance in She-Hulk makes perfect sense to kick things off, and if the Man Without Fear also shows up in that series next month, perhaps the two Defenders will share the screen once again?

What do you think the future holds in store for Jessica Jones in the MCU?

Why not Alias

@dracula - maybe Disney wants to reboot/revive their “Alias” series or leave that option open?

When Kristen Ritter was first cast as Jessica, wasn't too sure about it. But she has nailed it perfectly in my eyes and I really can't see anyone else in the part. I really hope they bring her back soon.

Anything with her in is a Win.

It would also be cool if they had her an Luke in an actual relationship with a kid. Change it up a bit from the Netflix stuff. She played the alcoholic version for long enough.

If they make this show and Kristin Ritter reprises her role I hope for two things:

1) That she is not as cynical and negative as she was in the Netflix show. Sometimes she took it too far to the point of being unlikable or unsympathetic.

2) That they come up with better stories. Season 1 was great. The purple man was a fantastic villain. Season 2 was weak and too long.

@SpaceParanoids - Agreed on both.

@SpaceParanoids - what was your opinión on s3? I found it very good, not s1 level but still enjoyable and they gave us a truly despicable villain with no simpatethic backstory

@Dannywest - To be completely honest, I didn’t even know there was a season 3.

There's very few people from the Netflix side I wouldn't mind seeing reprise their roles, and like 99% of the people I would mind were The Hand.

I so wish I would've liked the series better, and that includes S1. Still think they should've just let her be a private investigator at first, working a bunch of cases, and occasionally dealing with superpowered shit. While Tennant was a great villain I feel they made him too big a focus of the first season. Make S1 a detective show, play with Kilgrave's presence in the back of Jessica's mind, and end with the reveal that he's actually back.

Also give poor Jessica an actual win. Like, make it dark, let it be about serious topics, but don't let her fail nearly completely in her goals. Speaking about S1 here, as I barely remember S2 (I didn't have the intended reaction when [spoiler] killed [spoiler], and I don't remember S3 whatsoever.

I kind of hope they bring her back, but actually do something of a not-too-soft reboot. That way they could bring Tennant back as well.

Those teasers basically made subscribe to Netflix. I was so hyped.

This was the intro to the show I wanted to watch, not the one I got.
