The marketing for FX's Legion has definitely been one of the better efforts of recent memory. At the very least, it 's crafted an enticing atmosphere around the show for those who aren't familiar with X-Men lore.  But as comic book fans have begrudgingly learned over the last few years, great advertising doesn't always equal a great finished product.

With cameos from actual X-Men film characters still up in the air, do you think the show can carve out its own niche within the increasingly crowed comic book TV show landscape?

ABOUT LEGION
Legion, based on the Marvel Comics, follows the story of David Haller – a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric wards for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that he is a mutant with inexplicable powers. Produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television.

Extremely excited for all the Netflix stuff but this has the potential to be the biggest hit of all CB tv shows this year if Noah Hawley delivers what he's expected to at this point in his career.

This show will be probably be very good but I'm interested to see how they address the diversity of mutant-kind.

It seems like Legion may be dealing a lot with mutants who have enhanced metal capabilities like himself but will we see different types of mutants? Is everything in this show only centered around mutants who can read minds, warp reality, move objects etc. Is everything only focused on this assumed mental institution and the mutants there? I wonder how the far the scope and scale will go in terms of the diversification of mutants.
