LUKE CAGE Uses His Strength To Hold Up A Billboard As Part Of A Unique Piece Of Marketing For Season 2

Marvel and Netflix often use trailers and clips to market their superhero series, and this is something that has applied to the upcoming second season of Luke Cage as well. However, one fan of the Mike Colter-led show has spotted a rather unique piece of marketing material.

This new piece of advertisement for Luke Cage season 2 is not your usual billboard, as it utilizes a statue of Harlem’s Hero to give the impression that the Power Man is using his superhuman strength to hold it up.

In the end, this piece of marketing doesn’t reveal anything like a trailer would, but it does promote the show in a fun and inventive way.

After clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem, with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Luke Cage Season 2 will be availbale to stream on Netflix on June 22.

This is beautiful. Between this and the billboard with Spidey on it, I truly feel like the world is transforming around us as we usher into a world where superheroes are commonplace.

@LiteraryJoe - Black Mirror needs to make an episode revolving around the phenomenon. I'm actually kinda wondering why they haven't yet.

@Kurne - Well, their episodes are usually rooted in showing us how technology is devolving society. They might have to put a spin on it to make it fit their catalog.

Great and creative. Couldn't say that about the second half of the first season, though. So hopefully the next season will be better. Oh - question - I'm not into the comics, but isn't Luke Cage a well-known Avenger in the comics? Do you think he should be part of the team in the movies? Just curious.

If it's as boring and bad as the second half of season 1...he's gonna have to hold up my head to prevent me from dozing off.
