A new international poster for the upcoming Ms. Marvel Disney+ series has found its way online, giving us another look at The MCU's first Pakistani superhero (Iman Vellani) striking a classic pose in full costume.
What we've seen from Ms. Marvel so far seems to have been mostly well-received, but fans of the character were disappointed by the decision to significantly alter Kamala Khan's "embiggening" powers for her live-action bow. Both Kevin Feige and co-creator Sana Amanat have addressed the backlash in recent interviews, but we're not sure their explanations were considered to be entirely satisfactory.
Khan will debut in Ms. Marvel before going on to join fellow cosmically-powered heroes Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) on the big screen in The Marvels next year.
Check out the new poster below.
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City," reads the updated synopsis. "An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
Ms. Marvel also stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
