A few weeks ago, we learned that Andreas (Paul Cooper) and Andrea Von Strucker (Caitlin Mehner) would be making their debuts in next week's episode and it looks like it may actually be through a flashback as Reed attempts to learn more about his family's potentially supervillainous history and get some answers about the origin of Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy Strucker's (Percy Hynes White) mutant abilities.

Meanwhile, everyone at the Mutant Underground is on high alert when the team discovers that there may be a spy in their presence.

Watch the new promo for episode eight, titled "threat of eXtinction," below:

You know, I wouldn't have pegged it originally, but the show really does gain a great deal by having the decidedly-human parents in the mix. It livens up the old X-men premise a great deal to have a valid viewpoint around where you do question mutants recruiting troubled teenagers to use their powers as soldiers in a war with the government.

And killing off the X-men might have been a practical solution to not being able to use any of them, but they exploit it nicely as a basis for upping the stakes to a higher level of persecution than the average X premise.

Just watched the last episode, it was a good episode not great, the drama aspect was quite boring, but everything else was interesting, especially what's happening behind the scenes.

Now how about these von Struckers.... :D
