WANDAVISION Guest Star May Have Known About MCU Debut Back In 2019 Based On Resurfaced Interview - SPOILERS

Friday's episode of WandaVision featured a huge guest star, & a resurfaced interview may indicate that they knew it was coming for a lot longer than you might think. This is a fun one, so check it out!

When Dark Phoenix was released in June 2019, the cast knew it was the end of the line for this iteration of the franchise (and that they'd starred in an absolute stinker). Unfortunately, they had to do the rounds to promote the movie, and a resurfaced interview with Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Evan Peters has been generating quite a bit of attention online over the past few days.

Asked whether they'd heard anything about possibly reprising their roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sheridan and Shipp give the expected answers. Peters, meanwhile, stays absolutely silent.

He obviously played the "recast" Pietro in last Friday's episode of WandaVision, and chances are he was already in talks with Marvel Studios at this stage. Remember, the Disney+ series actually started shooting in November 2019, so Peters had no doubt already spoken to Kevin Feige and company about possibly coming on board.

Awkward, eh?

It can't have been easy watching his Dark Phoenix co-stars forced to tackle questions about the MCU knowing he was being lined up to return as Pietro, and even if that wasn't the case, it makes for a fun watch! Still, as this interview took place just five months before cameras started rolling on WandaVision, we find it hard to believe he hadn't already been approached about Quicksilver!

Check it out below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
