We were all surprised to see Spider-Man in the recent trailer and poster for What If...?, and while it was originally rumoured that Steve Rogers would be beneath the mask, we've since learned that it is Peter Parker (albeit without Tom Holland's voice based on that recent cast list).
Regardless, there's a lot of intrigue surrounding "Zombie Hunter Spidey," especially as he's swinging around the place wearing Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation.
Hot Toys has revealed a detailed look at the character today with a new action figure that makes it clear this Spider-Man is decked out in a very similar costume to the one he wears in the Disney Parks. Chances are that's down to complicated rights issues we certainly hope will be explained at some point, but it's just cool to see the iconic superhero factor into What If...? somehow.
"[The] 1/6th scale figure features a newly crafted masked head sculpt with multiple interchangeable right eye pieces to create different combinations of expressions," reads the description. "A greatly poseable figure body; finely tailored Zombie Hunter Spider-Man suit following the classic blue and red color scheme with a Cloak of Levitation in burgundy; a number of interchangeable hands for signature poses; assorted web effect accessories, and a dynamic figure stand."
This is a spectacular figure, and we're bound to see more merchandise for What If...? as we get closer to the show's debut on Disney+ on August 11. Check out the first reactions by clicking here.
