WHAT IF...? Hot Toys Action Figure Reveals How Villainous Infinity Ultron Could Look In Live-Action

What If...? unleashed Infinity Ultron on the entire Marvel Multiverse, and an upcoming Hot Toys action figure offers an idea of what we could expect from a live-action version of the unstoppable villain.

The final two episodes of What If...? revealed the animated show's big bad: Infinity Ultron. A Variant of the android who actually managed to make The Vision's body his own, tapping into the power of the Mind Stone resulted in this Ultron being able to power himself up to a completely untold level.

With the rest of the Infinity Stones in his possession, Ultron set about wiping out all life in the universe, and later reached a higher state of consciousness that allowed him to travel between realities. This led to The Watcher assembling the Guardians of the Multiverse.

Now, this newly revealed Hot Toys action figure actually offers a pretty good idea of what this Ultron might look like in live-action. Skillfully crafted based on the appearance of Infinity Ultron in What If...?, the diecast figure stands 39cm in height, features a newly developed helmeted head sculpt with LED light-up function on the eyes, Mind Stone, and Infinity Stones that adorn the villain's impressive armour.

We don't know when exactly this figure will be released, but it's probably late 2022 based on past experience. In terms of pricing, it's unlikely to be cheap, so you'd best start saving up from now! Whether Infinity Ultron will ever appear in live-action remains to be seen, but there have been rumblings we could visit his reality in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Take a look at this latest What If...? action figure below:

@thebagman - I kinda like the cartoonishly oversized upper body

@thebagman - It's the shoulder coverings that make the legs look smaller. This is an excellent design! I wish McFarlane would give a year run on MARVEL toys, but this is cool.

@thebagman - I had the same thought. It looks "off"

Batman could take him with an EMP blast by remote controlling the Batmobile while he's chillin with Talia in Nanda Parbat. :3

Dayum, jokes aside mere bhai, how bad WAS that moment with Thanos?

Like, i get it, it's just a cartoon, but is sort of should be canon to the larger MCU, innit?

They did Thanos dirty and by extension the whole ass Avengers, not cool.

@Doomsday8888 - yeah. The whole point of the captain america side of things is that they had no way of defeating Thanos and needed to resort to destroying the mind stone.

@Doomsday8888 - I mean, its in the multiverse so it didn't bother me much. The multiverse is bound to have even crazier stuff than that

Design-wise this looks a lot more like comics Ultron than in Age of Ultron (minus the cape).

Other than cool ideas What If could serve as a redemption for villains that weren't so interesting in the movies.

Do the same for Killian, Ronan, Skrulls and Taskmaster and this show might evolve into something much better.

@UXASIS - Don't you think the Skrulls will get their redemption in Secret invasion?

@ElvenKingSlayer - I hope so.

But they deserve some Avengers-level events, not a miniseries.

I'm not judging what I have not seen tho, so I'll just wait.

Very nice. Would totally be game to see him pop up in live action, maybe even just a short passing by as Dr Strange has some multiverse shenanigans in his sequel.

I really like this design. Probably more than the age of Ultron version, which I was never fond of

@MrDandy - Was it more of the design you weren't a fan of or the interpretation of the character?

I would argue the design was spot on compared to the comics but the interpretation of the character is where most fans are split
