What If? is one of the most highly anticipated Marvel Studios TV shows coming to Disney+, not least because it could give us a glimpse of what the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse actually looks like. There have already been hints that the show will have wider ramifications for this shared world, so we're left desperate for new information.

We don't have any fresh plot details just yet, but there are some new images we can share with you!

As you can see below, Peggy Carter's Captain Britain is put front and centre alongside The Howling Commandos, Nick Fury and Hawkeye looking down at Mjolnir during the events of Thor, and a closer shot of Doctor Strange (who will seemingly be a pivotal part of this animated series).

A synopsis for the show was shared during last year's Disney Investor Day, revealing: "'What If…?' flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways."

"Coming to Disney+ in summer 2021, Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU," it continues, "featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. The series is directed by Bryan Andrews; Ashley Bradley is head writer."

We still don't have an official premiere date for What If?, but it is expected to debut on Disney+ over the summer. Based on recent reports, it sounds like we could see it sometime in August.

I wonder if we could get Hayley don the suit in live action.

That'd be really cool.

Did anyone watch this banger of a show on MTV as a kid? The animation style here reminds me of an updated version of this show's.

Still not a huge fan of this animation style, but a lot of the shots have been action shots. It may be a great art style for dialogue but that remains to be seen.

This looks cool, Invincible is great (not finished watching yet), in love with the Bad Batch, and now we're getting a new Batman Noir cartoon. Great time for animation right now.

Wouldn't mind if Marvel gave us a feature length animated film with this animation style. Looks great.

Not a fan of the style, kind of reminds me of Rwby.
But I like the concept and maybe the style is kept so distinct to make it clear that it's an alternate universe

I'm looking forward to the potential of this and future seasons, especially if they plan to incorporate some of these characters in a multiverse story.

It's not about the art style. It's about the story.

my lesson learned from watching Love, Death and Robots on Netflix.

@SpaceAgent - Nice, I'd say for me it's Zima Blue, Good Hunting, and The Witness in season 1. Pop Squad in season 2.
