It may not be based on a comic book, but
Stranger Things grabbed the attention of pretty much everyone when it debuted on Netflix in 2016. A mixture of horror and sci-fi, the show's scares came courtesy of the terrifying Demogorgon from the Upside Down. Brought to life with a combination of practical and special effects, Spectral Motion has now offered a behind scenes look at its creation.
As you can see below, we have both a video and a variety of photographs detailing how exactly they went about creating the Demogorgon and the horrifying moment it opened its five-fold mouth.
Season two of
Stranger Things has already started shooting, but plot details are being kept strictly under wraps. While the Demogorgon is unlikely to return, we'll no doubt see some new creatures as the kids set off on a new adventure. It will take a lot of work to top this one though, that's for sure...
