We're only a few episodes into The Mandalorian's second season, but a third batch has already been confirmed. Recently, executive producer Jon Favreau explained that it shouldn't be too hard shooting the series when the lead character wears a mask and the show is not shot on location.
With cameras expected to begin rolling in the coming weeks (and January by the latest), it now appears we have confirmation season three will debut on Disney+ in 2021.
This was to be expected, but a promo shared on the Slovak Disney+ YouTube channel highlights the fact that all three seasons of The Mandalorian will be available to stream next year. It's definitely a relief to learn that we won't have to endure a year with zero Star Wars content, especially as the pandemic means we haven't seen so much as a single Marvel Studios movie or TV show in 2020.
The vast majority of Disney's productions have resumed work in recent weeks, and that's important for them, especially when their theme parks are haemorrhaging money (it was confirmed this week that the company made a loss for the first time in forty years). Having new content for that all-important streaming service is a must.
