The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Daredevil, The Defenders) has revealed which characters known from Andrzej Sapkowski's books will appear in Netflix's adaptation.

Thankfully, the writer didn't forget about beloved heroes such as Geralt (duh!), Yennefer, Ciri, Tris Merigold, "morally ambiguous" Vilgefortz and Emhyr var Emreis, the White Flame Dancing on the Barrows of his Enemies.

Hissrich also listed golden dragon Villentretenmerth (known as shape-shifting knight Borch Three Jackdaw). It will be interesting to see if Netflix will try to challenge HBO's Game of Thrones and that show's Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion. It would require a massive budget (a single GOT episode cost around $10 million to produce), but hopefully Platige Image and Netflix know what they're doing.

GERALT IS:
Stoic.
Circumspect.
Balanced.
Fierce.
Soft-and-squishy-in-a-tiny-place-in-his-heart-that-he'll-never-reveal-until-maybe-the-end-and-even-then-it-will-just-be-a-hint.

Damn really? Sebastian Stan looks like he's on the verge of becoming 30. Joel Kinnaman on the other hand looks like he's in his early 40's.

Josh Holloway (Sawyer in Lost) for Geralt, the perfect choice
JohnMarston220
JohnMarston220 - 2/28/2018, 2:52 PM
@IcemanX - He's actually my 2nd choice, he has the look down for sure. I'd like to see him in more stuff though, I only know him from Lost, and that super brief scene in Mission Impossible...but yeah he's definitely not a bad choice at all. I'm just excited they're actually making this into a series rather than into a movie. Plus Netflix makes some really great material, I trust they know what they're doing.

Man... if the second game wasn't SO broken I would be way more excited for this.

Is this going to be based on the books or the game?
