Or just leave it be?
WruceBayne - 6/26/2019, 8:16 AM
@MalseMarcel - that’s always a possibility
WruceBayne - 6/26/2019, 8:35 AM
@MalseMarcel - or they could cross Venom over with the Spiderverse movies and make Miles live action and use him as Spider-Man. No need for any backstory now.
TMW1987ProudProWrestlingFan - 6/26/2019, 8:03 AM
Simplest thing would be for Disney to just buy Sony next, sure it will probably happen in the next 5 - 10 yeras anywyas if not less.

Stick to making consoles, games, TV's, phones & cameras. Plenty to kepe them pre-occupied from the movie industry.
JDL - 6/26/2019, 8:38 AM
@TMW1987ProudProWrestlingFan - And that's where you run into anti-trust. Buying specific IP would work but if Sony is sold, it will, (imo), be sold in pieces.
Hawknaba - 6/26/2019, 8:45 AM
@TMW1987ProudProWrestlingFan - Yes Disney acquiring another billion dollar studio is definently the simplest way to around this
Timerider84 - 6/26/2019, 8:04 AM
I would love to see a cross over, if you're going to do it, at least you have Tom Hardy playing Venom, bring him into the MCU.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 6/26/2019, 8:04 AM
Introduce the symbiote the right way with a little story called Secret Wars.
SpideyPuffsMJ - 6/26/2019, 8:12 AM
Gonna be a lot of whiners in here but this is essential for me. I don't want these two characters to exist on film completely separately and I desperately want to see Holland vs. Hardy. I'm psyched at the prospect of Tom Holland's Peter coming into contact with Norman Osborn and Venom. Spidey's world would be fleshed out a lot and will come to recognize how full and iconic it is in the comics.

DeadClunge - 6/26/2019, 8:13 AM
Have Eddie get separated from the symbiote and lose his memory as a result of saving the day in venom 2. The symbiote looks for a new host, encounters Peter and then start from carnage for venom 3/Spidey 4

Not the best of ideas but 🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

KWilly - 6/26/2019, 8:13 AM
I say keep anything symbiote related out of the MCU. Won't add anything for me personally. Let Sony screw up or strike gold with Venom.
knocturnalzen10 - 6/26/2019, 8:13 AM
into the spider-verse shows sony can do the right thing .... venom shows they will leave your msg just as READ on what's app .............
Chewtoy - 6/26/2019, 8:17 AM
Venom’s success is hard to weigh with how much it over-indexed in China. Had it played like an average superhero film there it would have finished with a worldwide gross in the $675m range. With no China release at all, ala Deadpool, it would have only been around $575m ww... so there’s plenty of room for improvement.

Regardless, it was still way more successful than critical reaction would lead you to believe.
Webheaded225 - 6/26/2019, 8:19 AM
To me personally Venom always felt like a bad character with a not so great story. The only time i liked a story involving Venom was on the Spectacular Spider Man animated series. Leave it be.

L0RDbuckethead - 6/26/2019, 8:22 AM
@Webheaded225 - It's because he is a bad character with a not so great story. Spider-Man has so many better rogues, yet everyone is always obsessed with Venom.
MyCoolYoung - 6/26/2019, 8:31 AM
@Webheaded225 - they captured the horror aspect of it really well on this show. He'd be swinging and venom would just pop up
IronGenesis - 6/26/2019, 8:19 AM
Don’t get it.
SONY has done better with the Spiderverse than MCU has.

Does MCU Spider-Man film have an Oscar? Far From Home winking best picture this year? No didn’t think so.

Homecoming made $880
Venom made $855
pretty comparable box office.

Think SONY should just stick to their guns.
Makiveli21 - 6/26/2019, 8:40 AM
@IronGenesis - Sony almost ruined spiderman as bad as fox ruined xmen. Go read a comic book.
realname - 6/26/2019, 8:57 AM
@Makiveli21 - yeah like the MCU as done a pretty good job of sticking to the comic book.
