VENOM Blu-ray Trailer Promotes The Marvel Movie As A Rom-Com And It's Seriously Weird

Venom only hit theaters last month and went on to massively exceed box office expectations. The Blu-ray, however, drops in a matter of weeks and we now have the cover art and bizarre teaser trailer...

Venom was released at the start of October but after the movie made a bigger impact at the box office than anyone could have ever imagined (especially after those middling reviews), Sony Pictures is looking to capitalise on the Christmas market by having the Blu-ray drop on December 18th. It will hit Digital HD on December 11th, so there's now just a few weeks to go!

Given how much moviegoers clearly enjoyed Venom, don't be surprised if it ends up outselling a number of other releases over the holiday season and this was definitely a smart move by Sony.

It's also interesting because that small release window could be an indication of what the future holds in store for movies; imagine being able to watch Avengers: Infinity War this soon after it reached
theaters!

Regardless, Sony is clearly leaning into the absurdity of Venom and its cult-like following because this weird (and pretty funny) Blu-ray trailer pegs it as a rom-com!

You can check that out below along with the very cool Blu-ray and Blu-ray 4K cover art.
