HALO Star Pablo Schreiber Has Had "A Bunch Of" Discussions With Marvel; Would Love To Play Wolverine

Pablo Schreiber, who plays Master Chief in Apple TV+'s Halo series, says he's had discussions with Marvel Studios at various points in his career, and would love to suit-up as Wolverine.

Halo star Pablo Schreiber has thrown his hat in the ring to play Wolverine.

The Canadian actor, whose brother Liev Schreiber played Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is a long-time Logan fan, and expressed his interest in suiting-up as the mutant berserker while chatting to The Playlist.

“Oh goodness, yeah. Well, we’ve flirted with that one for a while," said Schreiber when asked about being fan-cast as the character in the past. "That would be fantastic and would certainly be a dream casting. He’s actually my favorite hero from a child. He was always my favorite comic book, so yeah. I’ve had a long, long flirtation with that guy.”

As it turns out, the American Gods actor has had several meetings with Marvel Studios in the past, but declined to mention which roles he may have been in contention for. “I’ve had a bunch of discussions with Marvel at certain points in my career. We’ve never been able to find the right thing at the right time, but I’d certainly be open to that.”

Schreiber certainly looks the part, but at 6'4, he's actually an inch taller than previous Wolvie actor Hugh Jackman, who was frequently criticized for being too tall to play the diminutive hero by comic book fans. If and when the character is recast for his MCU debut, we wouldn't be surprised if the actor's height proved to be a sticking point for long-time X-Men fan Kevin Feige.

What do you guys think? Would Schreiber be your pick to play Wolverine in the planned reboot? If not, who would? Drop us a comment down below.

@AnthonyVonGeek - as soon as I saw this article I thought: Wolverine- HELL NO.
Sabertooth- HELL YES! Finding out here he is actually Liev's brother is icing on the cake. Make him Victor Creed if Liev is no longer game.

@dragon316 - His name is “Wolverine” because he is small and vicious, like a wolverine.

@eGGtheGreat - If they are looking for a Hugh Jackman style wolverine? Of course. If they are looking for a comicbook style wolverine, easy peasy.

@eGGtheGreat - Yeah it's going to be really hard to find someone who can play a brutal looking, 5 foot 3" Canadian in a masked costume better than a six foot 2" piece of Australian Lady eye candy in a leather jacket.

Give me feckin strength,,,,,

@mcmurray - What is up with people fan casting Cavill as everything? He is like the most milquetoast actor. Is this some pity thing for failing as Superman?

@Kadara - He was great in American Gods. That show took hard losses with great actors. Orlando Jones was the gem for me.

@tripttwe - @Kadara Orlando and Pablo were without a doubt the best part of American Gods for me. Kept hoping they would revive the leprechaun in the third season.. imo don't bother watching that season if you've haven't.
