As part of their continued coverage of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order for the month, GameInformer has released a new gameplay video and details specifically for Ms. Marvel, also known as Kamala Khan. The video comes on the heels of seven minutes of gameplay footage released over the weekend.

Inspired by the comics, Ms. Marvel's ability kit revolves around her powers to stretch and enlarge parts of the parts of her body. Using the "Embiggen" power, Ms. Marvel enlarges both of her fists and smashes any enemies in front of her. Her "Giant Foot Spinny Thing" performs a tornado kick with an englarged foot.

Here's what GameInformer said of her playstyle in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order:

Ms. Marvel is really good at mid-to-close-range attacks and an excellent all-around fighter. She can dart in and out of the action quickly, and her big attacks pack a punch. She also has a lot of area-of-effect moves to help clean up enemy fodder. Thanks to her stretchy powers, Ms. Marvel is incredibly durable and hard to kill.

In this new storyline, heroes and villains unite in a race across the Marvel Universe to find the Infinity Stones before Thanos and The Black Order use them to unleash cosmic chaos. From Avengers Tower to the X-Mansion and beyond, every stop on the dangerous quest to thwart Thanos results in unexpected collisions of fan-favorite characters and iconic locations. Get closer to the action by shifting the view to an over-the-shoulder "Heroic Camera" perspective—a series first that offers a more immersive way to play single-player or multiplayer on up to four systems. Play online*, offline via local wireless, or simply pass a Joy-Con controller to a friend, so they can join your team. With another pair of Joy-Con™ controllers (sold separately), four players can team up on one system! The drop-in/drop-out co-op possibilities let players create their own "Ultimate Alliance" at will.

Ms. Marvel is one of 27 known playable heroes in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The game's roster draws from The AvengersX-Men, Spider-Verse, and more. Between promotional screenshots and videos, we've seen Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Nick Fury Rocket Raccoon and Groot (as a combined character), Captain Marvel to name just a few. Oddly enough, there's been no mention of any Fantastic Four characters in the game, though it's possible they could be added as DLC at a later date.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 19, 2019.

One of the worst mantel changes ever.

@PeenWeinersteen - why?

@PeenWeinersteen - I agree. She shares virtually nothing in common with any of the cosmic Marvel namesakes, and her Inhuman origin is bland. Her power set makes her a total cartoon. I think she'd have been received better as an original character without ties to Captain Marvel. All the characters using the Marvel name were serious, even Genis who was funny when he needed to be. She just doesn't live up to the title.

@PicolasCage - @rabid pretty much summed it up.

@rabid - I disagree. The reason why she chooses the name is explained and is a great way to introduce a culturally relevant character to the modern era. If you’ve read her first two volumes(yes... volumes, not runs) I think you would agree...
If you don’t... then i guess agree to disagree. But this is a really cool/clever way to introduce a new character into a really murky, maybe broken, continuity.
Her character is interesting, fun, and very well written/cared for in the first two volumes. Also... she’s as well developed at this point than any other “marvel” titled character besides cap marvel...

@CapnMurphy2021 - I've read around a dozen issues. Enough to know theres nothing culturally relevant about her.

@rabid - then we can agree to disagree. To me... just depicting an American Muslim family dynamic is culturally relevant. That’s aside from several other things... not sure what you read?

Not a fan of the character or book, but she sure looks fun to play.

As someone who stopped regularly buying/reading Marvel comics the better part of 2 decades ago, I’ve been utterly charmed by everything I’ve seen with the new Ms. Marvel. When I stopped caring about the big picture of Marvel comics or where any of it was ultimately going, I was able to appreciate the bright spots for what they were.

Of course, I think it’s funny that the people who despise the trends in the current comics probably loved the stuff that made me quit back in the early 2000s.
