Fox has released a new TV spot for Assassin's Creed which is a pretty big improvement over the past couple of trailers and features great new snippets of footage. The film picks up with Callum Lynch in the present after he discovers he’s a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.

After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day. Set in the same world as the game, but just how closely tied to them it will be remains to be seen. Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Ariane Labed, and is currently set to be released on December 21st, 2016. Are you guys excited?
