Following the arrival of General Grievous in
Star Wars Battlefront II last month, EA will attempt to restore balance to the ongoing Clone Wars with the introduction of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The fan-favorite Jedi hero will arrive next month via the Battle of Geonosis update, which will also introduce the new map, the STAP and BARC speeder, and more.
Obi-Wan has a rich history in the
Star Wars canon, but his representation in
Battlefront II is specifically inspired by the time he spent fighting in the Clone Wars. Specifically, EA has modeled his character after Ewan McGregor's portrayal in
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and even brought in
The Clone Wars animated series voice actor James Arnold Taylor to record his lines.
A "master of defensive lightsaber combat and usage of the Force," EA has designed Obi-Wan's abilities so that he feels like the general that we've seen when commanding the 212th Attack Battalion.
Wielding his trademark lightsaber beaming with blue, and reflecting his mastery of defensive combat, Obi-Wan’s blocking skills are superior to any other Jedi in the game. His stamina and near perfect defense are joined by powerful, chained melee attacks.
The Clone Wars have begun. Jedi hero Obi-Wan Kenobi and the new map Geonosis arrive in the latest update – free for all Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II players and available from November 28. Unlock the 212th Attack Battalion clone trooper appearances, more General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi appearances, drive the new STAP and BARC speeder, and dominate the battle with the AT-TE walker.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will arrive in Star Wars Battlefront II with the Battle of Geonosis update on November 28. He will come with his Jedi Master Appearance but his alternate Robed Appearance will also be available for purchase with Credits or Crystals. The General Kenobi Appearance will be available at a later date as a nod to his time serving as commander of the 212th Attack Battalion.
