Wonder Woman 1984 was originally set to be released this November but now that it's been pushed back to next June, we most likely won't get to see the first teaser trailer until Comic-Con.
During Warner Bros.' CinemaCon presentation last night, a fresh look at the sequel was revealed and it kicked off with director Patty Jenkins explaining that
"Diana is now at her full powers." Footage was shown of the hero lassoing bad guys in a mall before running down the street at superspeed (that was a sequence we actually saw in set photos and videos last year).
Diana was also shown arm-in-arm with Steve Trevor as they walk through Washington D.C. together. His return wasn't explained, and remains a mystery for the time being. While it's said that Kristen Wiig's Cheetah was featured in the footage, it sounds like it may have been in her human form.
"This is a story we are very excited about," Jenkins added before Gal Gadot weighed in with, "It makes me want to go harder to do something even more special."
That was it for the
Wonder Woman sequel, but it definitely sounds like this follow-up is shaping up to be something very special and the response to this footage has been overwhelmingly positive on social media from those who have seen it.
Does any of this get you more excited for
