Wonder Woman 1984 was originally set to be released this November but now that it's been pushed back to next June, we most likely won't get to see the first teaser trailer until Comic-Con.

During Warner Bros.' CinemaCon presentation last night, a fresh look at the sequel was revealed and it kicked off with director Patty Jenkins explaining that "Diana is now at her full powers." Footage was shown of the hero lassoing bad guys in a mall before running down the street at superspeed (that was a sequence we actually saw in set photos and videos last year).

Diana was also shown arm-in-arm with Steve Trevor as they walk through Washington D.C. together. His return wasn't explained, and remains a mystery for the time being. While it's said that Kristen Wiig's Cheetah was featured in the footage, it sounds like it may have been in her human form.

"This is a story we are very excited about," Jenkins added before Gal Gadot weighed in with, "It makes me want to go harder to do something even more special."

That was it for the Wonder Woman sequel, but it definitely sounds like this follow-up is shaping up to be something very special and the response to this footage has been overwhelmingly positive on social media from those who have seen it.

Does any of this get you more excited for Wonder Woman 1984?

@superhero09 - WB had to push it to next year because Frozen 2 and Star Wars 9 would have murdered the winter box office this year. It's a smart move IMO as Disney doesn't have as much releases for 2020 compared to this year.

Also WW84 will no longer have to worry about an avengers movie stealing everyone's money next summer.

@superhero09 - it wasn't. June 2020 was the original release date. WB moved it up, but then changed it back.

Isn't that the same footage they showed during an event only a few weeks after they started shooting?

@Unites - it's the same footage they showed us at SDCC last year to a tee.

Wonder Woman with her full powers is a pretty exciting prospect.

There's something a bit gimmicky about this film though. I can't put my finger on it but I don't really like it.

Was she not at full power in JL or even the first WW?

@BlackBeltJones - JL sure...but that was a [frick]ing mess. In WW no...at least not until the end where she unlocks her full potential.

@BlackBeltJones - Depends if they're drawing from the Nu52 and having her bracelets act as a sort of bottleneck for her powers. Without them she would gain a significant boost to her power, but would lose control of herself and basically become a berserker.

@nikgrid - at the end she turned into Kratos lol. Tossing dudes like paper.

I feel like it never gets talked about, but didn't it seem like Wonder Woman got SUPER powerful at the end of the fight with Area and we've just never seen her use that power or have it mentioned again? Like, wasn't she disentigrating blades 20 feet in front of her without lifting a finger? Kinda seemed like something that would've helped against Steppenwolf

Yes it did. Diana realises her full potential right at the end.

@nikgrid - I know it happens at the end of WW, I'm saying where was that same energy in BvS and JL?

I hope "at her full powers" just doesn't mean superman-like flight. I know that's a comic accurate power, but her character works much better without it.

Finally saw WW the other week. As a supposed film for feminism (tentpole even?), it was pretty disappointing. But taking that expectation away, it was pretty good.

@Vanillain - you expected some captain marvel retard level kind of feminism?
