"DARK PHOENIX Spoilers - 15 X-MEN Easter Eggs, References, And Cameos You Need To Read"

A more appropriate title, lol!!
lvcl - 6/10/2019, 6:28 AM
And another easter egg is the name MCU that the army at the end of the movie wear on their suits

As you know MCU is a reference to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

And this evil army control the X-Men
DoubleD - 6/10/2019, 5:08 AM

X-Men First Class took place in 60's during Cuba Russia crisis.

X-Men Days of Future Past took place in the 70's during Nixon Years.

X-Men Dark Phoenix took place in 1992.

How do the X-Men not age ?

mastakilla39 - 6/10/2019, 6:57 AM
@KingCipher @DoubleD - TBH their age & looks are the closest thing to being comic accurate. All our earth 616 characters in the comics haven't aged one bit and most of them were present during real world event. Tony Stark should be like 80 in the comics because he was there during the Vietnam war and communism in china.

It's the MCU's fault for going real time and throwing us all off LOL

You mean "15 X-Men Rotten Egg References, And Cameos You Don't Need To See"

So Salty.

I still don't fully get why they made Jessica Chastain look like an albino
noahthegrand - 6/10/2019, 10:46 PM
@MalseMarcel - I think they were going for the albino alien look, which is a thing in some ufo stories, but that makes no sense because the character looks like that before an alien steals her appearance. If they were all albino in their true form that would be something but they’re reptile people!
Forthas - 6/10/2019, 5:43 AM
This film was better than most "professional" critics gave it credit for and they now have potentially cost Disney/Marvel millions.
DoubleD - 6/10/2019, 5:58 AM
@Forthas - I agree Dark Phoenix was entertaining and I'm glad I saw it on the big screen.

BUT Dark Phoenix was branded almost 2 years ago. Dark Phoenix was carrying a lot of luggage by time it was released.
DoubleD - 6/10/2019, 5:59 AM
@KingCipher - The train scene was great. Glad I got to see it.
Forthas - 6/10/2019, 6:05 AM
@KingCipher - 64% of Rotten Tomatoes Audience score and 59% of Metacritic Users would disagree with you.
Kurne - 6/10/2019, 6:20 AM
@Forthas - don't forget the B- CinemaScore!
Kumkani - 6/10/2019, 6:29 AM
@Forthas - It's not the critics' job to agree with you. Stop being so entitled.

You ended up liking it? Good for you. Doubting the credibility of people who have being doing their jobs for years (and possibly studied for it for years) makes you look immature.
Forthas - 6/10/2019, 6:30 AM
@Kurne - Nobody understands CinemaScore so I choose to forget it!
Forthas - 6/10/2019, 6:40 AM
@DnA - Don't you think that critics should be in line with the general audience. If they are not then by definition they are useless since the whole point of critics is to give movie viewers the a sense of what to expect. If out of 200 to 300 plus RT Critic reviewers they are starting to consistently be off when compared to the audience. If that is the case then they are not representative of that audience and Rotten Tomatoes should review how these critics are chosen. I have studied film (not for years). That does not make me any kind of expert. It is subjective but RT can be important because we can draw general sentiment about how films will be received and recently Rotten Tomatoes critics seem to be missing the boat...a lot!

It's not as bad as many say, but:
I can't believe they screwed up THE X-Men story again.
TheLight - 6/10/2019, 6:33 AM
It was ok, at the best. Not thrilling, but not terrible on the level of Origins and The Last Stand. It was a touch better than Apocalypse, but still it could have been better. I'm just glad that its over.
MinoMininni - 6/10/2019, 6:47 AM
First: Jean obviously survived, she's even the narrator of the last scene. She "simply" merged with the Phoenix Force, she never blows herself up.
Second: if you wanted to highlight some hard-to-catch cameos, at least mention Match or Kid Omega.
Fogs - 6/10/2019, 7:09 AM

No, I don't think I need to see it, Josh.
