In James Mangold's The Wolverine there's a WWII flashback scene. Logan is in a POW camp near Nagasaki. A Japanese soldier, Yoshida, opens up Logan's "cell" and encourages Logan to make a run for it. Logan tells him there is no place to run from what is coming (the a-bomb), choosing to stay in his bunker. Yoshida and his fellow soldiers realize their lives are nearing an end, and decide to take their lives. Just before a reluctant Yoshida can stab himself with his sword Logan stops him. The two hustle back to Logan's bunker-like cell where Logan protects Yoshida from the blast. Logan gets good and crispy from the blast and this is where Yoshida Witnesses Logan's amazing healing powers.

In the animated storyboards (animatics) below, which were created by storyboard artist John Coven, things are slightly different. Logan is seen trying to open his cell with his bone-claws before Yoshida frees him. Once freed Logan actually takes off running with the other prisoners that were released. Lastly, Yoshida becomes visibily upset when Logan prevents him from taking his own life. He even decides to fight off Logan's help, cutting Logan on his arm. This allows Yoshida to witness Logan's healing ability.

Keira Knightley...maybe she was either used as a basis for the character or was actually considered for the role. I like her, good actress. Gorgeous too.

They could've had an experienced actress and instead they got the model? Why does this keep happening with CBMs.

How was Fox able to use Madame Hydra? Doesn't Marvel have the rights for her?

Ah, I see. Thanks. Hopefully, we can get a more faithful version of Viper in the MCU.

@Omega

Eva Green as Madame Hydra would be a very solid choice.

@Camp

Eva has a similar look to Hathaway. Not sure if it be best for her to play Catwoman.

This film was great up until the Iron Samurai made his debut. I like the change with Viper, knew they couldn't use Hydra do to deals, but actress did suck.

I want to see Omega Red so badly! If they do another Wolverine movie, he should be the main baddie. I just hate that Viper had posion and Omega Red can release pheromones that get you sick or die. Kinda the poison route again. But whatever, hes visually incredible and would be cool if they made his coils adamantium so Wolvey would have that in common with em.

Also, if they don't want to do Omega Red, they should do Wendigo. Bad assery watching them battle it out in the snowy, freezing cold of the Canadian Wilderness.

The first pic looks an awful lot like Keira Knightley.

The actress the studio hired to play Viper made a huge mistake. She was the only problem i had with The Wolverine. Every scene when she delivered her lines made me cringe. Her acting was bad and let's hope she won't appear in any more comic book films.

Concept art looks good though.

I loved the opening scene! The Wolverine did a lot really well, but it missed the mark on a few points. Overall it was quite good though.

Omega, Logan and Jean knew each other for years and Jean had a huge impact on his life when he was completely lost.... and then he had to go and murder her! I thought they did a great job of showing the affect this had on Logan and how he found out his purpose in life and learned to let Jean go. That was the best part of the movie imo, it was a great arc for Logan and really the backbone of the story.

@0mega Great choice! When Marvel Studios wants to use Madame HYDRA in a movie, they should give Eva Green a call.

She looks good in green too.

The Wolverine really didn't get Silver Samurai or Viper right. Seeing as Sebastian Stan has a 9 picture deal, it's more than safe to say that we're going to get at the very least 6 Captain America films in all. I'm sure that THE REAl Madame Hydra is going to show up at some point, along with Baron Zemo and several other Cap villains.
