Check Out Some More 'Quicksilver' Action In Another New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE TV Spot

Between this and the last couple of TV spots we've seen for X-Men: Apocalypse, it seems clear that Evan Peters' Quicksilver is going to be embarking on some kind of rescue mission in the film. Apparently he gets more than one standout sequence, though, so this may not be the one everyone is fawning over.

Anyway, here he his using his super-speed to whisk a pizza-eating pooch out of danger.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 18.

@Mick808 - smh FOX is really loading up quicksilver TV spots. I wonder what that's says about their overall confidence in the movie.

@xinstituto - I'm pretty sure someone dies in the explosion, because they have contrasted this Quicksilver sequence with the one from the last movie and have said that the one in DOFP was fun and this one is quite the opposite and tragic. Hoping Jubilee doesn't bite it. Introducing her just to kill her off sounds stupid. Kill of Singer's version of Rogue instead. That would be applauded.

Yep its official that a certain someone bites it during the explosion because there is no way quicksilver would be reacting the way he did even with one casualty

Dammit I meant to say I refuse to believe that a certain someone bites it during the mansion explosion because there is no way quicksilver would be reacting the way he did even with just one casualty
