"One of the things I definitely wanna do is be mindful of how much people love the world, and so I wanna honor the world,But at the same time, I wanna see if I can bring something that's more 'me' to it. I'm such a big fan of suspense, thrillers and stuff like that, so I wanna see if I can bring some of that to this, you know? Tension and stuff like that. I want my set pieces to be kind of terrifying. You know, like, 'is that guy gonna die? Is that gonna happen?' That kind of stuff. I want you to feel that when you're watching."

"Fast and Furious 7" is slated for release on July 11, 2014.

So, Justin Lin turned F&F into a heist/spy franchise, and now Wan is turning it into a horror franchise? Interesting...

James Wan is a great horror director, he shouldn't be doing this.

The only one I liked and watched all the way through was fast five. Havent seen the newest one.

But these movies are still making money. Which means that theyre going to turn this into a Bond franchise

To be honest, this series is quite good, especially when you consider that each of the first 3 films had different directors. Justin Lin decided to bring it all together, and the last 3 films were actually not bad at all. They are way over the top but they're entertaining, and actually well-written. Fast Six in particular was well-rounded, it brought together the story from multiple previous films, it actually had a BETTER STORY, believe it or not, than some of the other top-grossing blockbusters this year (Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Star Trek Into Darkness). Not so sure about this director for the 7th movie though.
