Empire has shared the first official still from Mission: Impossible 7, and as you can see, it puts the spotlight on Tom Cruise taking a train ride - though certainly not in the traditional sense. Hanging on the side of the locomotive, the actor looks incredibly relaxed, but this is a minor stunt for him in the grand scene of his acting career!

However, the biggest challenge with this movie wasn't the stunts, but shooting in the midst of a pandemic.

"I’ve produced 30 to 40 movies. I am responsible for thousands, if not tens of thousands, of jobs," Cruise tells the site. "All my friends in the industry, people that are in distribution, and my crew were like, ‘What are we going to do? I could lose my house!’ So I told the studio and I told the industry, ‘We’re going back. We’re going to get everyone back to work. We’re going to start shooting in the summer. And we’re going to figure out how to do it safely.’"

He added, "It was seven days a week, it was around the clock, just dealing with a lot of high emotions with people, and helping them through it."

Cruise went on to detail the efforts the team working on Mission: Impossible 7 went to in order to make a safe working environment for everyone involved, and it sounds like he was instrumental in ensuring the crew could get back to shooting the movie (which meant they were still getting paid and able to support their families).

It's admirable, and some leaked audio recently revealed just how seriously Cruise took those COVID protocols.

For some reason, I'm not even surprised that's run of the mill everyday stuff for Tom, hanging around trains like that

I don't really know what his true intentions were but he definitely saved many families from losing their houses.

@MadThanos - Right? I'm not a fan of the guy's personal choices and think that this interview leaking was more PR than anything to show how compliant he is but I still have to tip my hat to him regardless.
So many people would still be jobless without him and his efforts

He's starting to look his age in these latest stills, was only a matter of time.
Still excited for this, the latest installments in the series have been a blast

I might not agree with his Scientology bullshit but I respect how hard this man works when he could easily rest on his laurels and call it a day.

How many actors have ever expressed any concern for the people who work on the projects they appear in? Tom is a legend.
