When a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin, the United States government initiates a black ops "ghost protocol" and disavows the entire Impossible Mission Force. Ethan Hunt and his team are to be blamed for the attack, but are allowed to escape as part of a plan to enable them to operate in the dark, outside of their agency. However, Hunt is warned that if any member of his team is captured during their mission, they will be charged as terrorists planning to incite global nuclear war. Ethan is then forced to work with ex-IMF agent Brandt, who knows more about Hunt and his past than even Hunt himself.

Film currently has an impressive 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 145 reviews, saying that it's "Stylish, fast-paced, and loaded with gripping set pieces, the fourth Mission: Impossible is big-budget popcorn entertainment that really works."

I saw the film last week, and it's probably the best action film of the year with good story, some great performances and if you haven't seen it, you really should.

Directed by Brad Bird and starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Simon Pegg, Tom Wilkinson and Michael Nyqvist, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is in theatres NOW!

I've seen the movie twice now but I'm not going to pretend it has a good story. :P See it for the action, the stunts, and Tom Cruise's "Risky Business" smile. Ha ha.

I honestly haven't seen a good Mission Impossible since Brian De Palma's film. Here's hoping that this sequel isn't a let down.

@Grif, Tom Cruise gets clothes-lined by a BUILDING. That should make you spend your money right there.

Didnt think it was that great. Loved MI3 so was expecting this 2 be on par but it doesnt have much story or even dialogue (besides simon peggs quips) no real villain either. Has fantastic action obviously - but a little dissapointed especially with brad bird at the helm! Cannot believe no Laurence Fishburne as head of IMF?

i wud give it a 7.5/10.

great action. impressive set pieces (hands down the dubai tower was crazy). also i loved that they stayed in the locations for longer and explored all the angles through gadgetry (the kremlin scene).
but overall the movie felt too long (the india sequence felt tacked on) and the acting was sometimes very annoying. cruise did a good job but was hamming it up quite badly towards the end and i found paula patton quite annoying and it was hard to connect with her. they should have established the relationship between her and the agent that gets killed in the beginning way better.

Saw the movie yesterday. I have to say it was one the best movies I saw this year. The best non-comic book movie for sure.

Great story, acting, directing.

All the main actors had there spot in the film. It just wasn't Tom Cruise. Everybody shined in this movie.

@SirPrize It's a shame. Just because you don't like the person(and I don't really see how unless you met him) doesn't mean he doesn't make good movies. Don't miss out on a great movie just because you don't like how an actor is in his personal life.

I have a review for "Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol" at http://chi11ax.com if you all want to check it out.

There's also a review for Thor on there (not timely on this particular thread, but thought I'd let you know.)

Happy Holidays!
