Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible 5 has officially wrapped.

Just a short while ago, director Chris McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) sent out the following tweet thanking the cast and crew:

The film now officially heads into post-production with about five months left before it hits the big screen on July 31st. Sounds like a bit of a rush on paper, but fans shouldn't be too worried as a majority of the film, which was shot last year, has likely already gone through post. Only the finale, which was shot over the past month, remains. Also, if anyone is more prepared to handle such an impossible mission as getting a big-budget blockbuster-caliber film ready in time for its late summer release, it's Cruise, McQuarrie, and the Mission: Impossible team.

Side note: Just a few days ago, McQuarrie hosted an extensive Q&A session on Twitter revealing a ton of details about the film. In case you missed it, check it out HERE!

Mission: Impossible 5 will feature:
Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt
Jeremy Renner as William Brandt
Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn
Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
Alec Baldwin as the Head of the CIA
Rebecca Ferguson
Sean Harris
Simon McBurney
Zhang Jingchu

Mission: Impossible 5 lights the fuse July 31

You know what.... if Bryan Singer was to leave X-Men, and FOX offered Matthew Vaughn to come back and he turned it down. I think Christopher McQuarrie should direct X-Men.

@ALegendaryPanda McQuarrie said we'd be getting one w/ the official title some time soon. I'd guess w/ Furious 7 or a little before.

@RichardBoldly It's real. His most dangerous stunt will be in MI 5 it involves him on the side of a plane

Yeah, McQuarrie got Faqed by the studio when they moved the release up. For such a big movie, 5 months to finish the final cut, Adr, sound mix, visual fx and all is Impossible. But I assume tons of stuff were shot practically as McQuarrie does.

I am sure it will still be a badass movie but they should've give them more time to finish it.

Days of Thunder, Top Gun, Far and Away..I grew up on this dude and am glad to see he's not only still doing awesome movies but also giving us fans more entertainment value by doing his own stunts. He's a genuine action star. Pretty incredible considering he's only 3 1/2 feet tall.
