Robert Rodriguez 'Machete' To Create A Latino Uprising?

Yes, it has been a slow news day since yesterday. But I mean, this topic is HOT!!!!

Ok, as you are all aware. Robert Rodriguez grindhouse flick "Machete" is not entirely a comic book movie. Although Robert Rodriguez has worked on a comic book movie called Sin City. This should however give me some sort of justification in posting this article. Since Inception trailers have been posted here and Inception is no where near a comic book movie, only because it is directed by Christopher Nolan.

Anyway,quick to the goods...

Here some guy by the name of Alex Jones claims that this movie will ignite a RACE WAR(Predator comic book reference)wink* wink* against Anglo Americans from the Latino culture, most notably MEXICANS. Is this guy for real? Or is he getting paid to add more buzz to this flick?? Click below to watch.

Here is the trailer, in case you have not seen it.It premiered this year, on 5 de Mayo.(Not the Grindhouse one)

Oh and I found this comic book character called "Machete",who shares a lot of similarity to the Danny Trejo. Does this justify my article? I hope so, either way it makes for an interesting debate.Machete comes to theaters September 3, 2010.

My two cents out of the situation,I do not think anything will happen, and hey I am from Mexico.

Mexico is pretty... but you know its difficult to keep working when Mexicans here in Texas will do jobs for like 2 bucks and leave people like me without work. Its not right. Where's Cap when you need him?

Actually Erick the only reason why American's do not want to do those jobs is because it has become stereotypical for us to see that those are Mexican jobs. If we didn't have the illegals & all the others stealing our money then the lazy fat American's would be happy to do them & maybe even in the process loose some weight. I say that the U.S.A. should just take over all of North America considering that we supporting everyone anyway. May I say 100 states? hahaha

Really.... Really??? this is crazy i just seen a pot documentary by this guy...thought he smart until now. I live in Az and thought the Machate trailer was awesome... And really the Mexican Nationals here in this country do all the work we dont want... If an illegal immigrant is taking your job, you gotta reconsider your skill set.

alex jones is a big anti-NWO guy...you can check him out on prisonplanet.com or infowars.com both of which are great sites which i highly reccomend...however take everything with a grain of salt...he carries it to far on some things but his info is usually pretty reliable.

anyways..that said...Machete is gonna be [frick]ing awesome

OMMFGROTFFLMMfAO(Oh My Mutha F**king God Role On The F**king Floor Laughing My Mutha F**king ass off) !!!!!!!!!! Robert Rodriguez is gonna incite race riots...we new this day would come. we've all prepared for it. Look out white America I am gonna use this as my chance to take reparations for 500 years of genocide.. forgot about the Mexicans.. Look out for the Eskimos and Native Americans... Thats about as likely to happen as Canadians invading with William Shatner an Elias Koteas leading the charge... That dude Alex Jones is freaking whacked craziness... but Machete Is gonna be this sh!t (Sorry about the expletives just got off a 14 hour shift)

Rodriguez is backpedaling from this trailer. He said it's not the real trailer and was fake. From AICN

BUT FIRST, THAT CINCO DE MAYO “ILLEGAL” MACHETE TRAILER SHOWED UP EVERYWHERE, RIGHT?

No joke! I guess I’ve gotten too adept at these fake trailers, some people thought it was real. We both knew Fox would have to remove anything we put up that very same day, yet I saw that even IMDB had it on their front page for several days as the “OFFICIAL MACHETE TRAILER”, as I’m sure other sites did too. I probably should have added a note at the end of it saying “IGNORE MR. TRAILER VOICE, this is NOT A REAL TRAILER to MACHETE.”

SOME PEOPLE WROTE IN THINKING THAT IT WAS FOR A MOVIE ABOUT A RACE WAR.

It isn’t. I would not put out a movie like that. Not only would that be irresponsible, it’d be dull and un-entertaining.

I simply wanted to make a special trailer that was as absurd as what was happening in Arizona. So I took some coincidentally timely lines of dialogue from the old original fake trailer from 3 years ago and from the new movie, reconfigured action beats, and cut it all out of context to make it look like the entire film was about Machete leading a revolt against anti-immigration politicians and border vigilantes. What can I say, it was Cinco de Mayo and I had too much tequila.

Anyway, that’s not what the movie is. In fact the main villain and Machete’s nemesis is a Mexican drug lord from a powerful cartel (played by Steven Seagal) that kills Machete’s family and runs him out of Mexico for being an honest cop, which is why Machete’s forced to work as a day laborer in the US.

Seagal’s character follows him to the US to kill him off when Machete starts messing up the assassination attempt that Seagal’s character funded. Seagal was so awesome we kept expanding his role on the set. The Big Final battle is Machete vs. Seagal and it’s amazing. A side storyline about politicians and extremist vigilante characters that you see in the trailer are not taking a stand for reasons you would think, and the movie clearly shows corruption on both sides of the border. Over the years I’ve spent a lot of time on the border, being 4th generation Mexican-American gives you a unique view of both sides.

It’s a very satirical film, much more so than the fake trailers have even shown. It’s just a damn fun movie. I guess about the only thing I can even compare it to as far as tone, big cast, entertainment value and taking license with reality is perhaps Inglourious Basterds.

Viva del Arizona!
Has anyone read this law? It is almost word for word of the U.S. Law. Even California already has one similar to it in their own books (though not enforced).

@Phinehas... I live in AZ and the way the law works is for any reason a police can question ur citizenship status and pull u over... it may not appear to a problem with that but thats prob because ur not brown... I am full blooded eskimo.....ESKIMO and I get questioned about my citizenship status... just because i am brown for christ's sake I have slanted eyes and they still think i am mexican because i am brown.
