Fans of the anime will recognize her character as the love interest for Kenishin's ally and sometimes-rival Sagara Sanosuke. The film will open in Japan on August 25, 2012 and there's been some chatter about a possible international release as well.

Official Synopsis: Japan is about to enter the Meiji era and transition from the Middle Ages to industrialization. The samurai have no place in this modern society where warriors are less useful than traders. Unemployed, having lost the right to wear the sword, and facing guns and cannons, the samurai will gradually disappear into legend. Kenshin is one of such lost warrior. Once a grand master of the sword he is now a vagabond, wandering the roads of Japan. However, his chivalry and courage will make this one-time mercenary a loved and respected vigilante.

Am I in the minority about not like Man from Nowhere? I just found it way too predictable. My girlfriend didn't even like it and she's a big fan of the main actor AND she's Korean lol.

Cannot wait till the live action Kenshin though! One of my favorite anime series.

I can't wait to check this out. I just watched Detective Dee, i didn't really like that to much, right now i am watching 13 Assassins, i started it last night on netflix on my lap top, i was falling asleep so i decided i will finish it some time today. So far that has been really good, its kind of slow so far but it is also kind of [frick]ed up ... in a good way that keeps you into the movie.

I'm pretty excited to see this :). The Japanese tend to not butcher their anime/manga adaptations. If only I could say the same for Hollywood :X.
