ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Director Peyton Reed "Won't Rule Out" This Popular AVENGERS 4 Theory - SPOILERS

Unsuprisingly, there are a lot of theories surrounding Avengers 4, and now Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed says one theory in particular is within the realm of possibility. More past the jump.

While Ant-Man and the Wasp did see our heroes deal with the fallout from Captain America: Civil War, the Marvel film was fairly self-contained. However, it did feature an amazing mid-credits scene that linked the movie to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4.

This moment saw Scott Lang get stranded in the Quantum Realm after Hank, Janet and Hope were turned to dust by Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. But for many fans, this wasn't the most interesting part of the scene, as Janet's brief warning about time vortices fueled speculation that Avengers 4 will feature time travel.

And now, director Peyton Reed, in an interview with the Huffington Post, weighs in on whether it's possible that a time vortex and time travel will factor into the story of the Infinity War follow-up.

“Based on the science that we’ve set up in the first movie and this one, I won’t rule out the possibility,” Reed explained. “Because, again, we are dealing with a time vortex. That could happen.”

Clearly, this isn't official confirmation that there is at least some truth to the theory, but it is interesting that the Ant-Man and the Wasp director didn't outright say the theory was untrue.

The idea that Earth's Mightiest Heroes might embark on a journey through time sprouted when set photos revealed moments from past MCU films were being recreated, but even after the release of Infinity War, it remains unconfirmed.

“Based on the science we’ve set up...”

Lmao what science? Didn’t we get a throwaway line about time vortexes from Janet?

Also - these movies break all the rules they set up. Like running on a knife and then roundhouse kicking someone with full strength.

Time travel has to be the only way. I hope they don't pull one of those time travel tropes where they say something like iron man has to never happen for the world to be saved or something like that
