Evangeline Lilly Talks ANT-MAN AND THE WASP; Confirms Appearance In The Fourth AVENGERS Movie
During a NYCC interview, Evangeline Lilly gives an update on where things are with Ant-Man and The Wasp at the moment & reveals that Hope Van Dyne will be sitting out Avengers: Infinity War.
Blastr caught up with Evangeline Lilly at New York Comic-Con and quizzed her about Peyton Reed's follow-up to Ant-Man, which will feature a more prominent role for her character, Hope Van Dyne. Lilly said it's still very early days, but the story is beginning to take shape, and she's excited because we'll get to see "the origin of The Wasp".
More interestingly, the former Lost actress reveals that The Wasp won't play a role in the events of Avengers: Infinity War, but will show up in the still untitled fourth Avengers film.
“I’m excited because its essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. Of course, we’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle, and put on the suit, and fly about, and do her thing. Following that one, there’s an Avengers series coming out, I believe its a two-parter, and the Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part because they want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release on July 6, 2018.
