Photos from the set of Ant-Man and The Wasp have shown the titular heroes on the run and these rumoured story details shed some light on why exactly that is. Apparently, the sequel takes place shortly after Scott Lang was broken out of The Raft by Steve Rogers and he now finds himself under house arrest. Scott, however, is enjoying spending more time with his daughter and the reluctant hero has now given up being Ant-Man altogether due to the events of Captain America: Civil War last year.
Hank and Hope, meanwhile, are looking for ways to bring Janet Van Dyne back from the Quantum Realm. Neither is particularly happy with Scott ditching them to help #TeamCap out in Germany but they're busy working in their new lab which is tiny and mobile because they're shrunk it down using Pym Particles. They too are on the run but who's actually after them hasn't been revealed just yet.
It's an interesting direction to take things in if this information is, in fact, accurate but we definitely need some clarification on what happened to Scott after that breakout and why the government would choose to put him on house arrest as opposed to back in The Raft! Either way, it seems Ant-Man and The Wasp is going to deliver a quite intimate tale which takes place over a fairly short amount of time. What sort of impact this is going to have on their role in Avengers: Infinity War is currently unclear.
