I don't doubt he'll be back in some form or another. Apparently he will be in Black Widow in flashbacks and such. But for future movies, we have time travel and the multiverse to explore, so there are ways for anyone to make cameos, even characters outside of the MCU who have played Marvel characters.

I understand what they're saying and I agree, but the way the heros came back in endgame wasn't necessarily unpredictable

Anything beyond this would dilute his perfect, tragic send off imo.

Sure, he could return as an AI (very transhumanist, like Tony so it fits), but it would feel like he's still around in some way. The way he went was all about the end.

@BlackBeltJones -
Don't want him to come back other than as a hologram, as you suggest. There are others to take that mantle and it would cheapen the sacrifice he made. Dead should be dead.

@BlackBeltJones - exactly

@BlackBeltJones - I don't get this sentiment. At all. No one is saying he'll be back in the next Avengers movie. It'll be YEARS before Marvel would ever think of bringing him back. Comics do this all the time, and no one seriously complains about sacrifices seemingly losing meaning. As long as there are real consequences for Tony being brought back it would be fine. In the instance of Endgame, everyone being brought back was balanced by us the audience losing Tony, Natasha and the Gamora we knew. There could be similar consequences to bringing Tony back. I trust Marvel to make the right choice if they ever decide to bring him back, they've earned at least that much by now rather than just adamantly saying "NO WAY TONY NEEDS TO STAY DEAD ABSOLUTELY AND ETERNALLY".

RDJ has a lot of money at this point in his life. That being said, if his career starts taking more "Dolittles" then I wouldn't be shocked for him to suddenly be taking meetings with Disney and Feige again.

@DannRamm113 -
RJD is set up for life. His wife makes a pretty penny. I doubt he would want to revisit it.

As compelling and innovative as bringing Loki back with a time-travel trope? lol.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - ...i would consider that Loki isn't 'back' as the timeline for the Disney+ series is prior to his death...
JonC
JonC - 4/30/2020, 5:15 PM
@JonC - that he is 'back' is the equivalent of saying Black Widow is back because she has an upcoming movie.

Bringing back Tony would cheapen his death. Don't do it, ever.

Also, has everyone else been unable to view the site ALL DAY?
