AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Hi-Res Concept Art Focuses On Thanos Taking Down Thor And Loki In The Movie's Opening
Avengers: Infinity War kicked off with the Mad Titan attacking the God of Thunder, taking down The Hulk, and murdering Loki. Now, some new hi-res concept art puts the spotlight on that sequence...
Marvel Studios wanted to make it clear from the very start that the stakes in Avengers: Infinity War were higher than in any of their other movies, hence why we witnessed Thanos not only effortlessly defeating The Hulk but also choking Loki to death. It was one heck of a way to kick things off and a series of moments fans are still reeling from.
Now, some new hi-res concept art from the movie has surfaced and this focuses not only on the Mad Titan's attack but also more alternate designs for the villain's appearance here.
As well as some truly breathtaking pieces of keyframe concept art depicting Thanos vs. Thor and Loki, it's pretty mind-blowing to see just how different he could have ended up looking on the big screen. As Thor battles Proxima Midnight and Ebony Maw, Thanos chokes out Loki as he stands among the ruins of the God of Thunder's ship (you can see a fallen Hulk at his feet as well).
In this very atmospheric piece of artwork, the triumphant Mad Titan stalks through the burning remains of Thor's ship after wiping out half of the Asgardians (the others fled with Valkyrie).
Here, some minions who look an awful lot like The Other disrobe Thanos of his armour as Thor watches on. That may sound a little dodgy but he no longer needs it now he has the Infinity Stones.
Loki kneels before the might of the Mad Titan here and her certainly makes for an imposing figure. In fact, no one in Avengers: Infinity War was really able to slow him in his tracks.
Various pieces of artwork depicting Thanos getting his hands on what used to be the Tesseract, it's hard not to wonder if Surtur would have been powerful enough to destroy it.
Here, Thanos can be seen walking back toward Sanctuary II but in the movie, he obviously used the power of the Space Stone to transport himself and the Black Order to safety.
We've already brought you some alternate takes on the Mad Titan but below you'll find another batch showcasing various armour designs and even some nifty looking uniforms...
