The roster for Avengers: Infinity War Part One and Two is a mysterious one, and whoever is on it will be joining what could be the greatest battle to ever take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not too long ago, the Russo brothers revealed that Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) would be heading back home to Earth for the battle against the Mad Titan, but the whereabouts of the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy during the Infinity War is still remains a mystery.

During a recent interview with The Verge, Avengers: Infinity War co-writer Christopher Markus teased the possibility of the appearance of a furry little Guardian while speaking about keeping the characters in Infinity War grounded. "Whether they’re a 12-foot purple guy, or a raccoon, or an android, they’re all people, and we’re going to write them as people," said the Captain America: Civil War writer. "You can’t write them any other way. So, ideally it will stay grounded because you’ll completely understand why the characters are doing what they’re doing, and you will in some way or another empathize." Are you excited for the possibility of seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War?

Avengers: Infinity War will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and is being written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Part One hits theaters May 4th, 2018, and Part Two May 3rd, 2019.

I hope the writers find a way of fitting in the Guardians without feeling:
A. Forced
or
B. Jarring

It was pretty obvious that the Guardians will be in Avengers. But anyone else thinking that the Avengers and Guardians are lacking the numbers and powers to stop Thanos. Especially the Guardians, they don't have anyone I can see that can really hurt Thanos.

@marvelstudios - They have Drax.
DeusExSponge

@Quicker - Drax was only able to do that because he was given powers to deal with Thanos. He emits an aura that allows him to breach Thanos' energy field and enabled him to go for the kill.

@Quicker - Drax in the MCU is significantly weaker than the one in the comic. But that could change.

@marvelstudios - We don't even know how powerful Thanos is in the MCU. He could be another weakling.

@Ramiel - You mean like any other MCU villain ever? Shocking

@Quicker - No one but the Living Tribunal and the One Above All can defeat Thanos, once he puts on the Infinity Gauntlet.

@Ramiel - Another? How many MCU villains have actually been weak and a walk in the park for the hero?

@marvelstudios - Or the Beyonders. The Beyonders killed The Living Tribunal.

Racoon, an Ant, Black Widow, common Spider, Falcon ... they are definitely watching too much Animal Planet.

Wonder how Rocket reacts if he runs into some Terra raccoons.

These three on screen together

It's gonna be hilarious. Spidey is gonna go crazy when he meets a talking raccoon.

@ComicsBornAndBred - I have a feeling that there is going to be a scene during a battle where Tony is in his suit, and then all of a sudden Rocket jumps on him and starts to alter his weapons, upgrading Tony's repulsor blast maybe making his flight speed faster.

@Kr08 - this scene idea:

@Kr08 - How faster can IM go? He can break the sound barrier.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Here's another one.

A scene where Groot is fighting, he's extending his limbs, branches, everything. But they're not strong enough and they keep breaking. In comes Wanda infusing her power into Groot, making him grow faster, stronger, and he basically looks like he went Kaioken. Then at the end he gives her the most beautiful flower in the galaxy, she touches his face lovingly, and Vision shows a bit of jealousy.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Here's another one. It's pretty simple.

A conversation between the Vision, Thor, and the literal Drax.

@ComicsBornAndBred - It's crazy how the most serious character out of those 3 is the CG Racoon.

A scene with Spidey & RR?! I can only imagine how that will play out on the big screen!

But if there is one Guardians to appear in IW, it should be Drax.
